Sorry if this has been asked 100 times, but if I forget to have sc2gears open and play a few games, how can I synchronize my replay folder to add the games played without sc2gears on?
Or, is there a way to manually add them?

I've downloaded, installed, set up my save destination, and enabled replay saving, but it just isn't working. I can't figure it out; it hasn't saved one replay yet. Yes, I keep it running in the background. Any ideas?

Or, is there a way to manually add them? You can open the "Sc2 auto-reps" replay source (by double clicking on it) which will list the replays that are in the folder saved automatically by Sc2. You can select any and right click=>Copy replays.

Please check the folder settings (Settings menu/Miscellaneous settings/Folders tab) if Sc2 auto-replay folder is set properly. Also check your logs if you have any error in it. Could be you do not have write permission to the target folder. Logs can be found in the "User content/logs" folder inside the Sc2gears folder.

Also a request: can you guys send me 1.2 replays so I can start studying the changes and the new format?
|
hey Dakota, this program has been working like a dream. Since patch 1.2 however the naming scheme has gotten all sorts of crazy. Haven't changed anything since I set it up
pre 1.2 format (what I formatted it to read) XvX - Map [someone vs someone] year-month-day.sc2replay
post 1.2 oddities (it now shows date and some inexplicable numbers) 11-01-11 15-28-22.sc2replay
|
Wo1fwood, the inexplicable numbers are the time the replay was saved. It can't open the replay to gather the information it needs, so it reverts to that.
Dakota, some replays of games I just played if you need... http://www.mediafire.com/?pyrl6mchs584z6y

Dakota_Fanning YOU ARE AWESOMMEEE !!
also for some reason SC2 gears isnt saving my replays (after patch 1.2) m going to try it again
edit1:ps its saving filse but giving me a COULD NOT READ REPLAY tried to upload it using sc2gears to replay FU and got this 2011-01-12 00:09:56 - Upload failed! 2011-01-12 00:09:56 - Error code: 100 2011-01-12 00:09:56 - Error message: Sorry, this game type isn't supported

geez i didnt know my apm was 130 avg haha

can't get this to work with 1.2.... none of my SEA games logged yesterday and my NA game today didn't log either
edit: it says "replay saved" but I can't find them anywhere.

ty, that explains it . I'm assuming then the problem would lie in sc2gears accessing that information in the 1.2 patch configuration (i'm guessing)?

Yep, my 1.2 replays are all skipped over.

Looking at GabrielB's replays, it seems that the replays.attributes file has a new 0-byte at the beginning of the file, and there might be new attributes. (altogether 44 vs. 40 previously in a 1v1 game)
Besides the ability codes, not much seem to have changed.

Yes, auto-save should still work, but the default naming template is used (the date and time is given as the name).
Others, please send me more replays so I can release the new version sooner.

doesn't work for me, although I switched the naming template. I'll reset to default and test it.
edit: it has been saving them, but the auto-replay and sc2 auto-rep searches don't show anything from 1.2 forward

Sc2gears uploads the replay properly, but the error you get is due to the replay site (replay FU) did not yet implement the new 1.2 replay format.

Can someone check this?

I sent you 4 replays that are "skipped" by SC2 Gears in an email.
