This week another series of improvements were made to the Sc2gears Database User Page:

-Profile icons are displayed next to the players in the Replays page which will take you to their Battle.net profile page.

-The "Comment" icon is different on the Replays page if a replay already has a private comment ("Edit comment" icon instead of "Add comment" icon).
This makes it so you can tell right away if you entered private comment for a replay.

-Added icons to many buttons and links.

-Fixes and optimization both on client and server side.

-User interface style improvements/changes.

sc2gears says « Could not open replay! » for my last few replays. It saved them with a different template from what I usually use and they don’t even show up when exploring the folder with sc2gears (whereas they do show up in the Windows explorer).

The filenames are like that:

Whereas my template is like this (/d /T /q - /M1 /h):

PS : Sc2gears is up-to-date.

If Sc2gears cannot parse a replay, it reverts to a default template which is a short date+time (which you can see). Are you sure you have the latest version 10.6? Because the previous version 10.5 cannot handle the latest patch (hit this week). Maybe you have multiple versions and you start an older version?

Please post your logs (Help menu => View system messages).

Looks like some connection error...

You can keep all your settings if you copy the "Settings.xml" file from the old Sc2gears to the new one.
It is also recommended to copy the whole "User Content" folder so that way you can keep everything (like your saved own replay sources, lists, etc.).

Hey,

I have recently switched names and I don't know how to "combine" them in the multi-replay analysis. I have replays under the name X and others under the name Y, and I can only check, lets say MU winrates, one at a time. Is there a way to check my stats for both "players" at the same time ?

Misc settings dialog, Aliases tab.

Enter your new and old names in a row separated by a comma. Full name required => right click on your name and choose "Copy full name...".

Example:

NewName/EU/1/123456, OldName/EU/1/123456

This also works for multiple accounts not just for name change.

Whenever I share a replay, the pop-up that comes up, is way too big for my screen top/bottom-wise. Like in order to hit the 'copy url' button, I have to resize the width so the top bar pops up, and then resize it's length to make it fit so i can hit that button/copy the URL. What gives?

What's your screen resolution? Can you send/post a screenshot?

My screen resolution is 1280x768.

This is what pop's up when I hit 'share replay':

Then I have to click on the right (or left) edge of it and resize it to make it visible:

Then I have to resize it from the top and shrink it so it will fit on my screen, and then leftclick-hold on that top bar to drag the window up:

The problem is that the "Share replays" dialog is bigger than 800 (height) that's why it doesn't fit on your screen. Adding a scroll bar to it now. I soon release a new version (as the thread title change hints it...), and this change will be included.

You probably extracted/installed Sc2gears in a folder where the user you run Sc2gears with does not have write permission. Do not put Sc2gears in special folders like "C:\Program Files". Put it in "C:\utils\Sc2gears" for example, and everything should work.
