Nothing happens to me until the mid game when I'm trying to pull off something cool, like dropping a nydus worm or moving my army out. My hands get really clammy and they start shaking because I'm excited to see if my plan is actually going to work.

The feeling I get when it does work is the reason I play. It's amazing.

My fingers are often cold when I'm on my computer (poor circulation I assume), but I especially notice it when playing BW/SC2, since finger speed matters a lot more. Two things I do to help.

1) As cheesey & corny as it sounds, I have a pair of USB-heated fingerless gloves. The drawbacks here are needing two open USB ports, and losing a little bit of pride.

2) A metal thermos full of boiling hot water. Wrap your hands around it every now and then. Feels great.

I always thought it was circulation. I got it sometimes when I really wasn't playing intensively or anything..

Annoying as hell, makes you fuck up hotkeys/clock slower

Try turning up the temperature in your room, or spamming apm to keep your hands moving and warm.

Maybe you're getting a cold sweat. Are you nervous when you play? Try to stay calm.

it's called adrenaline rush. I used to sweat and my feet and hands get really cold, but I don't get nervous before games anymore.

If you watch "hyun joong - becomes a progamer" series, Shark (MBCgame) gave heating packs to HJ as a gift so that his hands wouldnt get cold, because HJ was always nervous before any games. So maybe heating pads are the answer to this problem

Do some push ups before you play. It helps with loosening up your wrist and arms too not to mention having some nice juiced up arms after a couple of months

After every game go and stand up, walk around a bit and let your blood flow through your body. When sitting still for a long period of time it personally feels like my blood just doesnt move around my body much. Mostly because after a few hours, i would stretch (while sitting) and nearly pass out because of the sudden surge of blood (im not a doctor but i think thats what happens

).

doing a few pushups, situps, squats, whatevers keeps your blood pumping as well.

Heating + clothes work well as well ofc

.

If this doesnt work, it either means you're nervous, or somethings really really wrong with you

I get shivers occasionally if its the first time I've played in a while. I assume its a mix of adrenaline and nervousness. Usually goes away after a game or too, but I had them alot more when I started.

It happens often in 1v1 occasions, not so much in 2v2s. It's an anxiety thing I think. imo, I get a small blanket (used for napping perhaps) nearby to keep the warmth.

I only get a cold mouse hand, the keyboard hand is fine. Why doesn't Razer create a progamer mouse with built-in heating? Maybe using two USB slots so it gets enough power?

If your house is warm cold hands are most likely poor blood circulation caused by stress or bad posture. Shivering/shaking may also be partially due to anxiety about the game.

When I was young I used to take my games seriously and get a lot of stress reactions when trying to play in a game that I really wanted to win. This obviously hurt more than it helped. That kind of stress reaction may work for real life situations but for gaming it's bad since you have to maintain fine motor control.

My suggestion would be to make sure you have good posture while sitting and typing. Take breaks often away from the computer. Exercise regularly and eat right of course. Try to take your games less seriously. Focus on the play not the results or the people.

I have quite the opposite problem, it's starting to get warm here and my hands start sweating, which doesn't help the mouse precision

Was fine in winter. I hope the iceland volcano sends us some cold weather again soon.

It is usually a circulation problem, do some physical activity and it will get better.

I used to shake pretty bad when I played SC back in the day. My roommate dubbed it the "Starcraft Shivers." It never happens when I play any other game. I just got the beta, and sure enough the shivers are back.

I also suffer from "Halo Tourrette's," where during multiplayer I shout out very bizarre curses without even realizing it - much to the consternation of those around me.
