As can be expected, some people don't like to play fair like the rest of us. I'd caution you to be careful if you receive PMs from "popular" users who have the letters i or L in them. Why? Because on TL, capital I and L look the same! We used to troll each other by making accounts like liquid`nazguI (Last letter is small L) but when Dr.HelvetLca tries to scam beta keys...we have a small issue  . Suffice to say the culprit has been IP banned, but just stay safe/classy.
More beta keys will be available tomorrow.

Yeah we saw him as soon as he registered and i was stringing him along to send him fake keys. R1CH banned him too early though

We actually had a discussion about this a while ago in staff forum, and registered all the combinations of staff (i.e., colored name) names, which is why all things like Chiii, chiiL etc are all taken.

Kids arguing about who was right, it was like a terrible group of people in a thread attempting to prove their point thinking they were good at debating and making logical cases based of what other people have stated with their jesus-knowledge.

Just make the names in the pms from mods have the red/blue name, or make a script that checks for L and i (and existing users) and warns the user about the possible scam.

Why let them off easy? How about reporting him to his ISP. I remember some kid posted a trojan on a popular forum a couple years ago and the moderator contacting his ISP and emailed his mom (don't ask me how he got the email address) letting him know what scum her son was.

A good way to check is to just copy and paste the "I/l" and put it into google. I put the lowercase "L" in for instance and liquipedia comes up under it. So in this case it's an L which the poster above got right :D
