It will be really simple to give out the key then. We all know that doesn't happen in reality, as we all know that people who are nominated by others aren't necessarily more deserving than people who nominate themselves. I'll take you up on the challenge of finding an old time contributor who nominated themselves, but give me some time. I don't know the community that well, so I'll have to use my judgement when going through their self-nominations. What is easy to do is see which self-nominee is more deserving than a peer-nomination. Here's one a self-nomination that's better than a peer-nomination: Self-Nomination: + Show Spoiler + madnessman I hate to do this I'm going to selfish and nominate myself since I'm dying to actually play SC2. I've never touched a computer with SC2 on it yet. Sad. I'm probably the D-rank player with the most playing experience. I've been playing SC for a while. I'm not sure if this is a good indicator of how long I've been playing SC but my BW cd is labelled 1.04. It's OK though. I'm going to be the first Singaporean SC2 bonjwa for sure. If I do get decent at SC2 I'll start streaming and recording FPVODs/tutorials to help the community. And I second FuDDx's nomination if he really doesn't have a key or an account to borrow yet. He's pretty awesome. EDIT: 2 beta keys below me? jealous jealous jealous vs Peer-Nomination + Show Spoiler + ungood I would like to nominate OpRaider, because well, he's my brother and I'm tired of him stealing my account. Thats a poor example to use, because OpRaider actually nominated himself before ungood's post, and his name is also included in the list posted in the the OP.

Hopefully nobody will scorn me over this. Your not alone my friend. I'm still here seeing if I can have the opportunity to contribute to TL with the gift of a beta key. I'm continuing to opt-in but I'm upset my buddy indecisivepenguin decided to opt out. He is just as passionate about this game and this site as I am and imo would be a great candidate for a key.

I missed that, here's another one then: Peer-Nomination + Show Spoiler + Osh I would like to nominate a good friend: Sva Because it's always great to have a practice partner and to play with your friends. I fully realise there are probably still people on this site who are far more deserving, but as I have said before I do not know the specifics enough to say whom. I have (like most others) been playing sc since it was released and have been waiting for/following every morsel of info about sc2 since it was announced. If I have to wait until full release to play then so be it, but I don't want to pass up the chance to get a shot at a key, as stated in the rules of the nominate thread.

Ah, found one: Blind + Show Spoiler + Nominating myself to get my name out there. I hope others see my post and remember me. I've been with TL.net since pretty much the beginning, but I'm not someone whose name comes to mind when you think of TL veterans. I've been playing sc since I was 10-years-old, and although I've taken breaks, I've never completely stopped. I'm 22 now, so I've known this game for over half of my life. Day's #100 episode reminded me how much I love sc. With the extra time I have now, I'd finally be able to maximize a beta key.

To a bash against TL. If you are one o the bashers why would you expect to get anything from someone you are targeting? As for bashing anyone else trying to get a beta key it's kind of hippocritical isn't t? That you'd be hating on someone for wantin the same thing as you and tryig to get it the same way as you? The TL staff could of said "lol stupid noobs" and given it to any body they wanted, but instead they had scavenger hunts, nominations, a tournament, and some high tech quizzes that blew my mind. Thank them (as ilovestarcraft told me to be doing in general...), don't hate them. Jealousy is an ugly trait. ...see I even made a friend onthis thread, not to mention 2 long lost friends who saw my name and contacted me via PM; for that I thank you Hot_Bid. <3

And as for those bringing up Battle Royale references, I do not think it is an accurate comparison; method of "killing" is all wrong, though dillema to "whether play or not play the game" is still there ![]() Edit: Seriously, emphasis of No keys go to withdrawers rule and addition of "If the number of remaining players exceed the number of available keys, those who has not withdrawn from the contest will no longer be qualified for any of future TL contests" rule would made this thread SO much better. Because I am a bastard who likes psychological games, though I understand redemption is main purpose of this thread instead of cost-benefit analysis.

I only thought I'd be forgotten. I rarely post here (average post count less than 1 per day). I often find myself typing up a post and deciding halfway through that it's not good enough to post (exceptions in LR thread when the Stars fanboy in me overtakes me). However, I did get a few nominations, so I wasn't forgotten. Three of them are people I know in real life though (two UCLA teammates, and my brother). I also got a random nomination from someone who posted right below me.
