There's vote going on about where the VOD will be released - GomTV, Daum TVPot, Mygame TV, and Youtube. Voted for Youtube since it would be most convenient for us I think.

awesome. so it seems like zenio is still very good vs protoss, since from what i remember he claimed it to be so easy for zerg
Hyo should be Go)Hyo, a WC3 player too. link
by the way, i would be pretty thankful if someone had a korea division leader/top5 list... have seen only korea/europe
edit: is that "Eve" that ex MeetYourMakers player MYM]EVE ? that guy like never ever played in the WC3 leagues cause he wasn't that good, but stayed on the team for a very long time. but that is already 2 years ago or something, since MYM disbanded and got recreated.
|
800 games? Rofl!
I can't wait to watch these VODs and see how Korean SC2 players play.
|
what time is this in CET time, any EU player know?
sidenote... 800 games?? wtf
|
probably not the most games ... wouldn't be surprised if someone had even more. would love to see someone posting ladderdivision screenshots
|

yes I think it's the Undead player who was okay (not that great but not bad). I wish Lucifer would pick up the game.... but I think he's in the army now.

Anyone know whats happening to Zacard these days? He's surely finished his military service now.

Or ever better, if Susiria picked it up as well and they both played the same race to recreate the awesome luci/susi 2v2 ud team.

im good friends with hyo, he gave me his whole replay folder

He was pretty strong in early TFT but you're right, he never had much of an impact later on at MYM.

Converting the final 3 games to Youtube-friendly format right now. These might take an hour or two to get up and process though.
|
^ thx.
but how weird that they didnt upload it to youtube in the first place. on the site the announcement asked where it should be uploaded and virtually everyone said youtube, because it would allow foreigners to watch. TT

I wanna see CGM play against these koreans
|
|
|
Game 1: Showed the possible imbalance of a certain controversial unit when handled by a top player
Game 2: Very nice harassment in this game, it was an interesting strategy I hadn't seen before but pretty risky for the harasser because if he didn't pull it off he was done
Game 3: Just a terrible build by the loser. Not worth watching and a shame the critical game came down to this.
|
I agree, the third and final game was a sad one. =\

Match 1 doesn't show any imbalance, it simply shows Ps build sucked. I mean why didn't you argue game 3 showed the imbalance of lings? It's about the same situation ;/
|
wow, i cant believe these current top pro games. zerg coulda won all 3 cuz game 1 and 2 toss just teching and game 3, wtf bisu build?
|
Yea these idiots are in for a surprise when they face foreigners. Bad builds, bad players.
|
Everyone is so bitter that Korean SC has had more backing

my mind was blown watching those replays. They kind of suck.

They are watching a lot of demos from us, especially CGM's and KHB's (just check out their forums). Don't worry, they'll catch up

lol koreans watching foreign replays? The world has been turned upside down! (ill take your word for it since i can't read korean)
|
Well, we watch their demos to be amazed by their mechanical play. While they watch our demos to be amazed at our ability to innovate. Seems to me a great way to develop the meta-game :p

if you look at sc2.replays.net (chinese site) you can clearly see they've posted the khb/cgm replay packs even without being able to read the language--the names of the players appear in english characters

Yeah. Wouldn't want to become a gosu like you, amirite?

I think what Idra means is that KHB is mostly using weird strats that won't work more than once, or versus players who are aware of counters or whatever.

i actually thought those were pretty intimidating games, ie. foreigners would have a hard time beating them just like SC.
|
Far from intimidating, Zenio is pretty much the only one playing at the level of the EU top Platinum ranks.
|
Who's build order in that third Youtube video just plain confused me. Forge but no cannons? No army? What gives?

Either way, I'm glad that skill level is now internationalized and is no longer hoarded by mass of Korean locals. Should make competitive gaming in SC2 much more interesting when it comes to being.
