I could have just as easily gone out on a Friday night and wasted $40 on some terrible new movie that’s not even 90 minutes and never thought twice about it.. or show my thanks for an amazing, inspirational, epic 2 hour cast. I choose the latter. Thanks Day9!

Lol No doubt the extreme fanboyism showcased in this thread is a little bit pathetic; and im sure Day[9] probably feels more embarrased about that than anything. Unless he is a total exhibitionist in wich case he probably is thrilled. Nonetheless, that does not detract from his casting wich is of really high quality; entertaining and enlightening. He does conceptualize SC-strategy and thus create a tool to deepen the understaninding of SC, I only wish he would do it more coherently instead of tidbits here and there. I havent seen episode #100 yet, so maybe this overwhelming reaction from people is warranted? (I sincerley doubt so, but maybe it is true what they say; in this feministic anti-male society we lack male rolemodels to look up to and try to emulate, Day[9] seems to fit that shoe fore many people. And if he does, thats great.]I'm still waiting on the VOD, so I can't justify a verbal raining down on anyone just yet, but I think this "fanboyism" is completely natural and heartening. Just because there's a medium for it [the ''fanbyoism''] here on TL instead of it being buried beneath layers of self doesn't mean it's pathetic. In fact, and again I haven't seen the cast yet, I bet it hovers around exactly what Sean is trying to emphasize. And when I say buried beneath layers of self, I mean the less-than-immediate role models and bulls eyes of admiration. Like a famous actor or director you secretly have an overwhelming respect for. If there were a way to contact those individuals, those who inspire you to engage in xyz that's exceptionally important to you, it might not be so overlooked. Especially if you thought the sentiment would be in some way returned. Your trying to achieve some moral high ground by being above the outspoken admiration for Day9 isn't necessary. "Hey, if it works for you guys cool, but I'm on an upside-down box drinking a cold beer. (Can't you see I'm taller?)" It just doesn't fit. And though everyone is entitled to their opinion, yours reeks of self-congratulation and fecal matter. I might be biased (even if it's ironic that I should call myself biased without seeing the cast yet), but I think these shout-outs are some of the best things to come out of this forum. Above all the miscellaneous sponsoring of xyz, the "HEY GUYS ROFL!! NEW UNIT IDEA!!", the pro team coverage or the tournament announcements. This thread, and I assume this #100 specifically, has a bit more packed in its punch.

I've been watching you religiously ever since I discovered the daily, but it was always for more than just the Starcraft analysis (which is obviously second-to-none); it was also because you were an endearing and hilarious guy. You've only driven that point home more now. Keep on truckin, man.. by the reactions of myself and all these other people, I think you're doing something right, and it's gonna come back to you someday if it hasn't already. -Matt PS. I also made an account just to comment here.

I've been watching a lot of your casts including the #100-th. Very touching story and a reminder to all to do what they love most in their life and not be ashamed or afraid of it. It was a lifechanging experience for me and I bet for many others. Thank you Day[9]!

If one of your friends praised this cast to your face, would you patronize him the same way? I don't get what you mean by fanboyism; the cast was just a really really good life story, like movie or autobiography material, but I guess if you want to use some weird abstract idea of a "feministic anti-male society" to explain why Day is popular, nobody's stopping you...
