I have so many stuff to do right now, but I'll postpone them to embrace this epic moment. I don't think you realized how mind opening your cast was. I don't think you know how much you may have change life's -if just, even a little-, but actually, who can? Most of us are better persons now.
This cast wasn't really about Starcraft or even games, it was about life, family, traditions, self-respect, love, passions, hard work and dreams. As someone wrote before, this was a two hour rollercoaster of emotions, that a I think many of us actually empathized and felt. Maybe the two best spent hours watching any movie, internet, or anything really.
Now I just feel like I want to share this with all my friends and family, so that I can enjoy it even more. But I'm afraid very few people have the talent that you have to tell, express or translate the passion or knowledge you have for things. Even if that's the case, I'll just work harder to accomplish my goals.
Thanks again Sean "Day[9]" Plott. Viva our way of life man!
And sorry for my English. I'm taking a philosophy class this semester, and I'm encouraging me write more. Its 2am, so I hope this didn't sound so lame. Maybe I'll wake up tomorrow and read this, and go: "OMG, did I really write this". Who knows... It'll be another learning experience.
this is an excellent summation of why this cast was actually literally epic.

Thanks so much for being who you are Sean, and especially for being proud of it.
I think this was so touching because we can all relate. We've all practiced hard for tournaments, and all of us have experienced really tough losses. We've definitely all been nerds in middle school and wished other people would understand our passion.
I believe you pulled this community closer together with this cast. I'm still tearing up a day later and I don't even know why anymore. So glad you shared your life with us, I feel enriched.
Cheers!!

Sean 'Day[9]' Plott, I can only say that I stayed up 'till 6 am last night to watch your stream, and I never once had any regret. Absolutely amazing episode, an emotional rollercoaster that had me in tears more than once, and I can only echo the sentiments of most everyone posting before me.. thank you so much.
Love, Theaisa

God damn it, seeing these reviews I NEED to watch this episode. I know livestream takes 24 hours to upload VOD's - but I NEED it lol.
Thanks for your work Day9.

day9 you are the man, i loved your ep#100 :D
|
I wish there is a way to download them or view them on a different source. Livestream is slow here
|
wow, so many first posts regarding the 100th ep
truly touching. I was almost crying, and I certainly would have if my girlfriend wasn't watching over my shoulder
btw my girlfriend says she loves you.

So does anyone have an ETA on the upload? Preferably in GMT+1
|
Ohh man I can't wait for the VOD!

I am also one of those first posters that have felt the need to finally make an account here at teamliquid, due to this latest daily. I watched the entire daily, the whole 2 hours, and I was absolutely riveted to my seat the entire time.
That was a truly awe-inspiring story. It has already been said so many ways so I'll keep it short but I just wanted to throw my support and admiration into the ring as well. The Starcraft community is damn proud to have Day9 in our midst. Before, I thought you were just another guy, but yeah... Thank you and keep on trucking. GG

With this cast, Day[9] has created an army. This "Gamer" army seems willing and prepared to go into battle at any whim of its master. It will not be long until Day[9] reigns supreme throught the StarCraft universe.
Kerrigan got nothing on this Swarm.
Cheers! To Day[9].

Well it just wouldn't be right for me not to come here and thank you for all the great work you do for the community. This daily was absolutely of the highest tier. Your story was both fascinating and inspirational to me. You've dedicated so much of your life to this and I'm elated that it has paid off for you and that you also devote so much time to the community as well.
There are so many other things that could be mentioned about the daily but I'll keep it short. Your story reached me on a personal level and I'll make sure I remember to apply the value I gained from it to my life goals.

Jeeezz....you're really pushing my patience. I wanna see that VOD so badly. I feel like a chick who can't talk about the latest sex in the city episode...
|
Day[9] your cast was amazing. It was so inspiring and I really want to do the things I have been putting off, in Starcraft and out. Thanks for that amazing episode. Its the best thing I have ever seen on the internet.
So inspiring, you don't realize how inspiring it was to hear your story.

I was at work when this was live, can't wait to get my eyes on D9D #100!

Lol
No doubt the extreme fanboyism showcased in this thread is a little bit pathetic; and im sure Day[9] probably feels more embarrased about that than anything. Unless he is a total exhibitionist in wich case he probably is thrilled. Nonetheless, that does not detract from his casting wich is of really high quality; entertaining and enlightening. He does conceptualize SC-strategy and thus create a tool to deepen the understaninding of SC, I only wish he would do it more coherently instead of tidbits here and there. I havent seen episode #100 yet, so maybe this overwhelming reaction from people is warranted? (I sincerley doubt so, but maybe it is true what they say; in this feministic anti-male society we lack male rolemodels to look up to and try to emulate, Day[9] seems to fit that shoe fore many people. And if he does, thats great.]

Episode no.100 made me teary eyed =(
I'm kind of jealous of your track record of awesome Day9. Especially all masturbation-related stories.
Wish I had had a brother like yours and a mother like yours... A few years I played a game with much less depth than Starcraft; Counter-Strike. But I only got to play online and in some local tournaments because there's no way I could get my mom to back me up in the game because it's "just a game". I did get to go to prelims for bigger tournaments with my team, made it, but there's no way I could make the trip to where the actual tournament was hosted... And I know for a fact we could have done extremely well.
My team went to the CPL without me. It's easy to say "too bad" - but I find outrageous that my 4 friends went and I didn't... Shouldn't it move a parent to know that their son's 4 friends are being endorsed by their parents. Their parents paid for everything too, for all 4 of them. I offered to pay half of it and reimburse the rest but that didn't work.
Now I'm well past my prime and I never got to really give it a shot...
Sigh... Oh well! Cheers =P

Watch the VoD It's not comparable to anything you have seen before regarding starcraft
|
Oh man I sometimes hate my job :-(
When will the VOD goes up (I'm in GMT +1)? Can't wait to see it, too
|
I thought it was a great cast. I enjoyed it much more than the starcraft replay ones.
I think you could have easily replaced "starcraft" with anything - even "being a porn director", and with that similar passion, dedication and hard work - I think people would have still been very interested the cast.
Thanks again for taking your time to cast!
