So maybe instead of making a whining post about it here, at least give some reasons for which you think it's a bad idea? Anytime you introduce something like this players try to play as long as possible to get the most XP Hmmm, interesting take on the system. I might reconsider my opinion on the matter if that happens. Got to try it out first.

Lots of online games use some sort of leveling/progression system, not just Call of Duty, lol. As for me, seems okay, something else to look at and keep people interested. CALL OF DUTY INVENTED LEVELING RAWR.

This is one of the more... pointless things I've ever seen. I mean, I could say, "Yeah, it'll be great for people who like farming for things", but... we already have portrait unlocks and decals and achievements and what-not. What is this adding to even that minor segment of the game? I'm not well versed enough in this sort of thang to be able to say if it's an improvement or not.

I think it's really good idea, the kind of changes SC 2 needs in order to attract and keep casual players. No, he means like what the wc3 ladder system was like.

Thanks Blizzard! In all seriousness though, this is dumb. They've wasted their time developing something that's not going to help their game in the competitive scene. My faith in Blizzard slips further away...

You’ll earn XP for the race you’re playing with each unit you build or destroy. So.. the fastest way to level is to quit every PvP so you face zerg more and even terran? Last i checked i have like 4-5x as many units created playing muta ling than playing standard toss. Im actuly really mad at this for no real reason, it just seems like a stupid as hell mistake to make. Certain styles will ALWAYS have more units created, infact it seems as if the best way to level is to do something along the lines of 3hatch on ~30 drones and just mass lings, and not actuly play the game, just engage to trade armies repeatedly, sure you might lose, but then again it does not matter at all. The lower on ladder you go, the more t1 units you can mass without putting the game at risk, so the faster you level. If they have some kind of multiplier like 0.3-0.4x for zerg relative to protoss for units built, it could be ok, but that heavily penalizes certain playstyles. The only way i can really see for it to work would be for units killed mostly, but if they based exp gained on units killed, everybody is going to just leave every game vs protoss. Its not like a win or loss on the ladder matters for anything at all other than Epeen unless you are really focusing on increasing skill level, and if everybody on the ladder was that bothered, it wouldnt be so easy to make it into the top 2%. If they leave this in its current state it will have a metagame destroying effect where the goal is not to win the game, but to create and destroy as many units as possible, it would be a joke. Games against zerg would give you the most exp as well, you would have to go all the way down to individual unit multipliers to balance this. Killing 20 brood lords is not the same as killing 20 zerglings, and there needs to be motivation to sit through those NR20 games (half of pvz's at low master) instead of leaving them in favor of dropping MMR and potentially getting an opponent that will build lower tier units and be engageable
