I'm thinking that it will be a 'tragic' story in that the Xel'naga or Hybrid are controlling/trying to control the Zerg. Kerrigan will find a way to control the zerg again and not be allowed to <3 Joe Raynor and she will be the 'heart' of it again, but maybe without her scorn and vengeance, but more doing what it takes to make sure the galaxy is safe? | ||

If the next campaign is as in depth/varied/generally insanely amazing in its gameplay as this one I will be a happy bunny. Anyway, I had a brief think about this today and had the following idea: HotS is going to be about the rise of the hybrids, with zerg battling them like crazy. Then LotV is going to be about the protoss battling the xel'naga/discovering what happened to them. <3 Lore. | ||

Also, we might see Kerrigan's memories for a bit, just like Zeratul's in WoL, but hopefully not too many. | ||

remember, she got her human consciousness and MOST of her body back, but that doens' tmean her zerg died. and besides, she was OFF THE CHARTS as a ghost, so yea, she'll be leading the swarm i don't think it will be a prequel, cause after you beat the campaign, it says "find out what happens next in HOTS!" how can you find out what happens next in a prequel. lol | ||

But Raynor should have gotten shot, badly, or some sort of serious consequence. From a storytelling perspective it would have been SO much better: Karrigan wakes up, sees Jim fall to the ground protecting her, taking out Tychus in turn. I mean, they were so leading up to it, with Tychus's ominous "things don't always work out the way you expect" or whatever he said... with Raynor verbally handing over the reins to his first officer. And the whole opening scene with Tychus, where they centered on him putting on the suit (remember, these were the first images we saw of this game, back when they were teasing it) -- I mean, with his 100 percent consequence-free betrayal, Tychus became a footnote, rather than a major plot device. You wouldn't have to kill Jim off, but there's incredibly something poetic about the first thing Karrigan sees as a human being Jim falling to the ground. The savior role is reversed, leaving us to wonder: is he dead? alive? Did he die on a quest to kill his demons and briefly touch what he always hoped he would have, or can she save him? My two cents. | ||

Then we all team up and defeated the Burning Legion... err Hybrids, and the galaxy is saved. | ||
