Tychus died. It specifically says that if you go to the Single Player screen after you beat it.
SC1 also told us Tassadar died . The development team could tell us whatever they want, especially if they want to surprise us. I honestly think Tychus is alive. Raynor follows a very strict and steady character role, so, it would honestly surprise me to see him deviate away from it, especially when it involves his best friend.

Or if Raynor was badass enough, he could have just killed Kerrigan, damn the consequences, and deal with it when it came. Just cos he's badass.

Tassadar is dead, his spirit is just infused with the Overmind and since Zeratul was trying search for the memories of the Overmind, he was able to meet up with him there as well. If he really was alive, he could have helped the Protoss more directly. It's questionable whether Tychus is alive or not but he might be infested or revived by the hybrids, who knows what unpredictable ideas Blizzard has in store for us.

1. even with a suit you wont live with a bullet to the head. he is dead. 2. true 3. they've already said that the expansions will take place right after one another so even if it is from her perspective it wouldn't be up to the rescue
imo the zerg either need to develop some new leader quick or somehow kerrigan still has some control over the swarm. (who is the heart of the swarm?) kerrigan will most likely warn raynor the zerg have evolved and become extremely powerful. mengst still needs to be dealt with. i dunno it shall be interesting.

Well we better hope Blizzard doesn't put in some kind of deus ex machina-type leader coming out of nowhere. If they do, it better be at least similar to how Samir Duran came out from a Confederate resistance force to a hybrid experimenter.

At least in SCBW you had Duran acting all mysterious and shifting everyone else to meet his goals, while the hybrids in WoL had no central hero (or at least rememberable, I don't remember the name of the Hybrid that was talking to you during Utter Darkness).
Selendis needs to play more of a role on HotS I think, her and Artanis seem like they would be a good combo in terms of storytelling. I really don't know what blizzard is going to do with Zerg heroes in HotS though, unless they are going to bring back Cerebrates (although they can't really fight so I doubt it). Bring Duran back to rule the Zerg! Duran was probably the "dark voice". It makes sense if you think about it, since he did mention living for "millenia" or something in the secret BW mission.

The bullet Raynor had in his gun was obviously saved for someone special, most likely Kerrigan, and when Zeratul told him he couldn't kill her he used it to save her instead. Tychus is dead, he would have no role in HotS (not that it seemed to bother Blizzard to put in useless characters as an excuse for a couple of missions) since he served his own selfish agenda while being a pawn in the game. It would not make sense for him to be someone's second in command or whatever in the future expansion. Hopefully we'll see more of the core characters from BW in HotS, such as Mengsk, Duran and the protoss.

yea because he totally does not use that very same gun against valerian mensk.

Unless Tychus is taught how to come back as a ghost from the Protoss, he's 100% dead and the only way to change that would be a straight up retcon.

It should be noted that he thought he was going to enter the bridge to find Arcturus not Valerian, what with the fact it's Arcturus's flagship Valerian was riding in and he put the gun away when he saw it wasn't Arcturus and Valerian wasn't a threat.

I don't think Tychus was totally evil.
If he really wanted to kill kerrigan he would not have objected so much to going to char.
Also, he used the laser pointer so that raynor would know where to block the shot.
I'm assuming that mengsk hired him and would kill him if he came back after not having killed Kerrigan.

God I would hope so because they need to justify the stupidity of the Queen of Blades in WoL. >_< Where did her cunning style go?

What if like, Kerrigan was still the queen of blades even though she's been freed from the hybrid that were controlling her.
So in HotS it's about Kerrigan rallying the zerg together to help take out Mengsk and the hybrid/xel'naga

This is probably what will happen.
Heart of the Swarm will probably be about dealing with the leaderless swarm and harnessing it for the fight against the Fallen One in the last game.

She seemed sort of depressed and unmotivated in WoL. During her encounter with Zeratul she seemed obsessed with the whole idea that the future is hopeless and we're all going to go extinct or something.
Also, why did she want the artifact? Was she looking to do to herself what the terrans did to her anyways? Maybe thats the only way to continue controlling her broods while remaining immune to the hybrid's enslavement?

Duran is obv the fallen one.

The way he spoke in the Broodwar made it seem like he was serving a higher power IE he was a servant of the Fallen One. But then again, we didn't see him at all in WoL, so it is quite possible he'll turn up as the Dark Voice or whatever.

I can't believe no one mentioned QUEENS! Anyone else notice how in the WoL campaign Zerg never had Queens? (I think...) I'm thinking that the Queen is gonna be introduced as basically a cerebrate replacement that could possibly be created by Kerrigan to maintain control of the Zerg or something like that? Possibly the would have unique personalties? You know how Tassadar talked about the Overmind being enslaved or whatever, and created Kerrigan as a way to free the Zerg?

There was a queen in Belly of the Beast.

There was one queen in the second to last mission if you choose to eliminate nydus worms (yeah, I was one of those suckers). But yeah, Chrono boost was also missing from protoss. I'm guessing that they put those in the multiplayer for balance, but they haven't really had a good spot in the campaign to truly introduce them yet. And since HotS is next, I guess Chrono Boost won't make it's campaign debut until legacy of the void.
