Rare is the coach that leaves a team in a better state than which they found them. I can only really think of Pep who does it, and that’s because he moves on before he burns out voluntarily. Also apologies sharkie, was a bit of a prick yesterday was in a terrible mood. My bad!

No worries, thanks for the apology! Also Klopp left his Mainz and Dortmund teams in a very good state imo

His contract is still with Atlethi so, right?

The general consensus around here (Portugal) was that even tho he was never worth the completely stupid amount AM paid for him, he was still a very good player, just forced into a system where he clearly does not work (i.e., Simeone's style of play is the opposite of Barça's). Chelsea's spell was scary because he was supposed to be in a better place but was not good enough for them to keep him so alarm bells started to ring louder and were not just haters. Let's see how it goes in Barcelona. A few games and a few goals to start help his confidence and if things go well for the first couple of months, he might as well have saved his career from taking a very bad downturn. Time will tell (and obvs if Barça is able to buy him as returning to AM would be a nightmare).

That's gonna be a very expensive buy for Barca. Especially considering the huge invest AM did initially. Game of the day: Bayern vs ManU. Can Bayern win it or will ManU lose it?

No skin in this game but it was tightly poised, United pull one back and immediately a nonsense penalty is given, argh!

Edit: and they take away what little hope we had again. Double edit: meaningless consolation, but there is something about European football when it gets hectic like this!
