Uff, this ref is really bad. He has no control over the game and continuously makes mistakes. Is this really the best the English have to offer? No wonder y'all complain continuously in this thread.

I am close to switching off because I already know Germany will win because this ref does everything in his power to help.

English contribution to this Cup was shit so far.

Kroos lucky to be on the field, I agree. The only caveat here is that if he gets booked for the first challenge, he would hopefully have been smart enough to act differently in the second.

Also, I can help but notice that once again we looked more dangerous when Havertz was in the box instead of helping to create chances....?

Hasn’t really got fully going, I don’t think Anthony Taylor is giving some Collina level masterclass but I don’t think he’s been that bad either.

Kroos should have had at least a yellow, but aside from that nothing too glaring

Taylor has no grip on the game, gives yellows on random and its his own pure fault. First foul by Kroos MUST be a yellow, then maybe he will be taken seriously.

Pretty much what gTank said. There is no consistency in how he's treating fouls. Kroos doesn't get carded for either of his fouls. Lenormand gets a yellow for a tactical challenge in the midfield. but Can doesn't for a very very similar foul. The players don't know where the line is, meaning they play hard. And playing hard leads to injuries and very ugly football. Luckily both Spain and Germany have enough class to have calmed the game down themselves, but Taylor has no control, is making mistakes and both teams know they might get away with murder if they have to.

And to be fair Taylor was all over the place so far. Terrible calls in both directions. Admittedly, more terrible calls against Spain though.
