Increasing the number of games also increases the number of referees that get invited I imagine, and the worst ones will be seen during the group stage. Bodes well for the next world cup where we go from 64 games to 104 games, I'm sure we'll see some amazing refereeing there as well. Not an ideal start from Belgium. If we recover from here and end 2nd in our group it's against Netherlands or France in the first round, yikes. Even though both NL and France didn't make a big impression, I think they'll comfortably destroy us. | ||

Guy is bleeding all over the pitch with a broken nose and the referee refuses to let a sub happen with the ball out of play. Hilarious that you are whining about Mbappe in this situation. | ||

Basically the same as a player getting a yellow for throwing a tantrum after a ref mistake. Yeah the ref made a mistake but you have to accept it anyway. | ||

There’s just a big gap to the elite club game these days. Germany have been the one team (that I saw live) that actually impressed me much, and I’m not sure how much that was down to Scotland not showing up. | ||
