Only your final 11 is counting for points. You can't sub in players after their game starts, but you can sub them out after their game finished
So what you can do, is e.g. start Neuer. Then when he did well, you keep him in goal, but if he sucked, you sub him out for your 2nd goalie playing later in the week.
This obviously has some implications, e.g. you don't want your goalies ever playing on the same day, you want your more volatile players playing early (so you can sub them out, if they failed), while your sure bets are playing later etc.
And if you want to dive deeper, look at the number of squad changes you are allowed between playdays and those 2 chips you get (https://gaming.uefa.com/en/eurofantasy/rules - search chips).
Hint: the same rule regarding subs also applies to captaincy. You can take away the C from a player having already played, but you can't give it to one who has already played. That often makes for an interesting push-your-luck game

Fuck sake Scotland!
I’m unsure whether Germany are really bloody good, Scotland are playing awfully or some kind of middle ground.
Those front players are really looking inventive and dangerous

I am quite but not entirely relieved. Occasionally it still seemed that scoring goals wasnt necessarily the main priority for every offensive player. But obviously it's a big improvement over the 2020 world cup. Nevertheless I'd prefer if we could avoid any situation where Nagelsmann might be trying to save a game by putting Sane in. While his skills in 1v1 are undeniable that doesnt help much if he keeps finding himself (voluntarily, accidentially, or by intention of the opposing team) in a 1v2 most of the time.

its a big improvement over any tournament since 2016... And yeah let Sane do some more training and sub in Fuhrich and Beier instead

I'm not unhappy about my predicted champion...but it's early days. At least the team seamed to gel well... but there was too little pressure against Germany's midfield. Still don't see why Havertz is in there, does Nagelsmann not know he used to play for Chelsea?

Impressive display from Germany. I felt like a lot of people were underrating them.
In other news, This Argentina side is just amazing. I know its a friendly against Guatemala but man that quick incisive passing is just so wonderful to watch. Really enjoyable football.
