Can anyone closer to the action confirm this? Thought he was hated around those parts. This is a very confusing business decision. Then again, as i mentioned a few weeks ago, chelsea doesnt feel like an attractive place to be coaching right now. Maybe poch is the 4th or 5th one they try? He, technically isn't hated its more his association with Spurs, i dont want him anywhere near my club and this will be a stupid appointment on that basis by a very out of touch board who clearly have no idea. Soon as he loses one game the crowd will give him the Benitez treatment and i will be one of them! The only thing he could do to help appease the fans is to win a trophy in his first season (regardless of what it is) to win over the sceptics like me. I don't even think he is a good coach, look what he did with PSG and Messi, he made Messi look bang average in Ligue 1!!!

Ah I see, thank you for the input. Thought his association with spurs tainted the man himself.
Still i dont think he is the man for the job.

So Barcelona have borrowed 1.5 billion euro for redeveloping Camp Nou, which required 20 different lenders. They are claiming that there is no mortgage on the stadium and no club assets used as a guarantee.
I cannot see how it would be possible that these bankers didn't want collateral. Barcelona are going to be owned by American investment banks within the next 10 years at this rate, they've already sold off so much.

Most likely there are additional conditions in the loan covenant, for instance that they're not allowed to increase their debt to equity ratio. A renovated stadium will also increase revenues and lenders will factor that in. Camp Nou is very old and new stadiums can generate much more revenue than old ones.

They already can't sell it out and adding more seats does not necessarily mean more tickets sold. We will see.
Gonna get up at 3am for Arsenal v City tonight. Hoping for an Arsenal win but expecting a City victory.

Hoping for an Arsenal win but expecting a City victory. It's not so much about selling more tickets but selling more tickets for luxury boxes and premium seats. It's one of the issues Feyenoord is struggling with. They have an old stadium without many luxury boxes or premium seats so they have difficulty monetizing their stadium properly. It can make a large difference. Iirc Arsenal earned more from the luxury boxes in Emirates than they earned from tickets sales of the whole of Highbury.

Almost game time. It is Man City and even Arsenal's game to lose. Guess it depends on who has the most injured players.

Christ Haaland is amazing.

its def man city's game to lose, a draw here would be the best case scenario for arsenal.

I wish I was watching but instead i'm shitting myself about Forest. Missed a penalty, player goes off injured, we go behind and somehow score a lucky deflected goal. We need to win or we're basically down.

Arsenal are already diving ffs.

It could easily be 4-0 right now.
