It would be pretty funny for United to beat City in the FA Cup and wind up with a cup double despite some of the humiliations they've had this year

On the one hand I have this deep admiration for Guardiola, how he manages to keep the team always on top of the league, keep this winning machine running every single year. Also the admiration for Haaland who seems to be send from another dimension to dominate mere mortals. On the other hand the utter disgust on how this team was built, endless streams of money and resources with no regard to any regulation whatsoever - just stall in court or buy ciritques off, and it works amazingly well. When Real Madrid are the good guys in the semis, that is kind of hilarious given their own spending habits.

If you have a player like Mahrez who would be on the starting eleven in 19 of the PL teams on the bench for 72 minutes its just ridiculous. Only reason City has won so many titles the past few years is squad depth. Liverpool was better in 3 years, but only won once. This season Arsenal was also better than City but couldnt cope with loss of Partey/Xhaka and then Saliba

ManU and Chelsea also spend gross amounts of money but they aren't nearly as succesful. PSG also doesn't work anywhere as well as City

He inherited a title winning team at Bayern, gutted his main rival and achieved the bare minimum for that club. He consistently failed in the Champions League against other top sides and other top managers. He inherited an illegally assembled recent title winner at Man City, had a terrible first season then broke FFP to build a new one. He consistently failed in the Champions League against other top sides and other top managers. By now he had a reputation for over-thinking knockout ties and bottling them. Guardiola has always had greater resources than all his domestic rivals and having more money and depth than everyone else your entire career does not make you a great tactician. He's not been the best tactician at any of the clubs he has ever been at, let alone of all time.

Fa cup and first league meeting was when City were still shakey and dropping points due to De Bruyne not being back on form post world cup. I just see so much "luck" in Arsenal this season, they have been much better than they were last season no questions, but so many games they are coming back to win, the biggest one is watching Jorginho, who only scores penalties, rattle one in from 35 yards off the underside of the bar to somehow win away at Villa, this has happened many many times this season. You normally get the odd bit of luck, but not the amount Arsenal have had this season thats for sure.

That barça team played probably the best football i've ever watched and only the 3 or so seasons ago city ever came close to that level of amazing play. See how subjective stuff works?
