VAR is pointless at this point (in england at least) This reminds me of the Liverpool - Spurs match last year where Kane should've been out with a red at 20 minutes and at least one seemingly straightforward penalty denied from Liverpool. Somehow Spurs find a way in these games.

Semi correct yes, that is true but they can intervene the red card, its violent conduct, you are not allowed to pull a guys hair, that is violent conduct red card lol.

Arteta and Ten Hag must be looking at each other like the last two teenagers remaining on the dancefloor at the end of the night. Can we figure out some unique angle for them?

Now we have the Klopp and Guardiola showering each other with compliments and Conte and Tuchel furious at each other. They both found out the hard way that insisting on playing out from the back 100% of the time with the wrong players is a terrible idea

Even when it wasn’t going well, you could at least see what Arsenal have been trying to do. Man United on the other hand… I can’t think of a single other club outside of Watford last season that are so over the place and so utterly haphazard in their medium/long term planning. Solskjaer built a limited team, but one that was effective at rapid counter-attacks. For all Ronaldo’s other qualities he’s not exactly quicksilver these days, but sure let’s sign him. It’s been how many years that United have lacked a real, real top notch player in either the midfield destroyer mould, or deep ball playing specialist? What a fucking mess

What a fucking mess With Man U, I don't know what a Man U player is, or should be any more. Like when City or Liverpool or Arsenal sign a player, you're going to know the kinds of players they are after, because that way you can be consistent in hiring and players can slot in fairly easily. What even is a Man U player?

With your record predicting Real Madrid last year, I'm just gonna put some money on Arsenal getting relegated this season ![]()

Bruno Fernandez can be brilliant, but he's at his best in the out-of-fashion 10 position playmaker whereas most top teams are more comfortable in the 4-3-3 systems. De Gea in his prime is brilliant shot stopper and can absolutely steal you points through that, but his distribution and ball playing abilities are not on the level you'd expect from a modern team that wants to control games. I don't think these any kind of total deal-breakers, but they're a bit funny microcosm of where United currently stands.
