I'm actually a bit unsure if all the contracts have a clause that covers something like this. This feels a bit like the La Liga buyout clause where nobody really gave it much thought until the Neymar transfer saga happened. In a similar way some 3 years ago it would have been almost unheard that Barcelona couldn't register players they've signed. There obviously should be a clause or rule that'll protect players from this, but it's usually there because something like this has happened previously and the addition was made to prevent future problems. Sometimes you poke around the contracts and rulesets from an unexpected angle and turns out something wasn't covered properly or there's some archaic twist that prevents the old rule from applying. ... Or it could turn out that this is covered by page 1 in every player contract and La Liga ruleset ever. It just feels like nothing should be taken as granted when something like this happens. | ||

So now the WC starts a day earlier for their game... I'm more and more certain that I will manage to skip this WC completely. This is just a complete joke. I really love Fantasy Football around the big tourneys etc, but there is really nothing good about this tournament, and creating any kind of clicks or views for it would feel just wrong. | ||
