One goal, one assist. Both incredible lucky. What more do you want from a striker?

I saw his goals at Leipzig and he was such a better player there (or then, dunno).

I think someone posted some pretty crazy stats on how much Kante's presence affected Chelsea's success on previous seasons, so him being out of form must be a bit worrisome at the very least. Maybe he'll bounce back after the summer and it'll be like the usual business again, but it definitely feels like something to keep an eye with Chelsea.

More than $7 billion of assets belonging to Roman Abramovich were frozen by authorities in the English Channel tax haven of Jersey, in the latest crackdown on offshore wealth held by sanctioned Russian billionaires. The Jersey Royal Court imposed a freezing order on the assets, the local government said in a statement Wednesday. At the same time, police executed a search warrant on premises “suspected to be connected” to him. Abramovich was sanctioned by the European Union and the U.K. last month as part of sweeping penalties against tycoons believed to be close to Russian President Vladimir Putin. Western measures against Abramovich have left his assets frozen and the future of his football club Chelsea FC uncertain. Representatives for Abramovich didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment. Jersey’s Law Officers’ Department said it couldn’t currently comment beyond the statement. As part of the Channel Islands, Jersey is a self-governing British crown dependency 14 miles away from France that relies on Britain for its defense. Aside from financial services firms and tourists, the island has long been a magnet for the rich. Source

But they are wasting their chances, so I don't think they will score.

Glad Atleti are out. They bring a different flavour at this end of the competition that I’d generally welcome if it weren’t for all their petulance and gamesmanship. I keep looking stupid every round but I don’t think Real are all that, PSG controlled that tie outside of a crazy 20 minutes or so, and they were equal parts in control and totally under the cosh against Chelsea. Provided Pep doesn’t do something silly like attempt to invent a new formation that is. I wouldn’t entirely discount Villarreal, especially given how stacked Liverpool’s schedule is, but Liverpool will have to show the same vulnerability they did against Benfica at times, and then some.

The tier behind those 3 feel much, much weaker than the upper table teams of at least Spain and Italy.

Yeah, I don't see Villarreal beating Liverpool unless something goes horribly wrong for Liverpool. They had a good game against a terrible bayern side at home and were utterly dominated in Munich. They have been extremely lucky to advance.

They have been extremely lucky to advance. A bit like Athletico I guess. They could conceivably have made it through against City but managing to pull it off in multiple two-legged ties in a row and you just feel the margins needed to get through in such a fashion really start to get unreasonable in aggregate
