You want the PBP to have a good voice and call the game as it is, but also to let things rest and not over-commentate. Al Michaels in his prime is probably the best example. Joe Buck has actually become pretty good recently, but he used to be bad. For color #1 is still a good voice (Collinsworth out), also the ability to not over-comment (sometimes Romo's weakness), and then also good rapport with the PBP and good game insights. | ||

I particularly enjoy this one (R rated if that bothers you): + Show Spoiler + To me, he comes off as way more human than you would expect from someone so relentlessly dedicated to his craft. And obviously, he'll have no shortage of football knowledge when it comes to commentary/analysis/play-by-play/whatever he's gonna be doing. | ||

It was obvious from the start that he did not have the team's best interest in mind, and players will attest to that. | ||
