Flick said there havent been any communication between DFB and him.
But for weeks there have been reported issues between Flick and Salihamidzic at Bayern, and while Flick has not mentioned reasons he also talked about troublesome last weeks... So I would say this is at first just him wanting to get out of Bayern, and his new role is indeed still open.
Also, Bayern has not yet confirmed them letting him go, as his contract runs until 2023. Though obviously, their choice is only between terminating the contract or keeping him on salary (hoping for some release fee by some other club/association), without having him work as coach.

The Blues are about to do it!

I put three euros on West ham to win and Chelsea to go through, neither me or the odds were predicting that west ham wouldn't do their part.
Lingard being injured would be huge, hope it's nothing too serious because he's been an absolute joy to watch now. I really hope he moves out of ManU in the summer and gets to play regular first team football again.

What a win! Great performance from us, really competed with Man City, even if that wasn't the strongest 11 from City it still was a good 11. Need to bounce back now and be ready for 2 big premier league fixtures to get ousrselves into top 4 before we go to Real Madrid

Bayern are so stupid. If I had such a talented coach like Flick at my club I would get rid of Salihamidzic at once whose only quality is that he knows the right people.

Those "right people" would be the ones who have to fire him. He's on the board. And as if that was the only reason Flick wanted out. Saying there was no contact to the DFB or not, it's clear he wants the position and Löw is done after the Euros. If Bayern let him out now it works out perfectly for him.

Bayern tend to be rather well-run. There have been clashes for quite a while between those two.
Given football’s non-stop transfer and wage inflation, it’s extremely inadvisable to give too much say of player retention/acquisition to any individual really. Something collective and diffuse while pulling in the same direction is really how things are ideally done and that doesn’t seem to be the case at Bayern lately.
Coaches want to win, many but not all aren’t that bothered about what the next guy inherits, so giving them the keys to the kingdom is unwise, so too is hamstringing your coach and putting their nose out of joint, which appears to be the case in Bayern, we saw similarly what happened to Pochettino towards the end of his time in Spurs.
I’m unsure if it’s the sole reason here mind. Flick’s generally been a behind the scenes kind of guy, he got his shot at the big time and he could hardly have done any better. Maybe he doesn’t fancy the relentless pressure of club management at such a huge institution where the absolute best he can possibly do is match his first season?

I don't believe it. Fulham scored a penalty

I didn't get up to watch the match and we only barely managed to get a point? Classic fucking Arsenal, I swear

It is happening now mate. Money talks after all in football, even after a few clubs came out saying they wouldn't support it lol. Top 6 English sides in it, Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid 12 in total make up the league.
|
England: Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City, Man United, Tottenham Spain: Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Real Madrid Italy: AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus
The 12 teams being reported as signed up. Apparently PSG were invited and said no. Haven't read anything about Bayern or other German clubs
|
I really hope the domestic associations and UEFA would completely reject the clubs if this super league materialises. If they want to play international friendlies to please big money investors then let them, but make it so that they can't compete in the existing competitions in that case.
|
didnt the pl just come out and say they will not consent to the english teams playing and this league will require pl's consent?
i dont know whats funnier. this dumbass idea or the fact that arsenal and tottenham are somehow included in this super league. LUL

Yeah all the "associations" have come out and said NO, if this happens then you can't play domestically anymore, with UEFA also adding in they will "try" and ban you from international football.
I am just loving how salty and "outraged" people are online right now thinking that their voice is going to change anything when there is literally BILLIONS of dollars being thrown around. All these clubs who have said "yes" or have been interested have done so based on the fact nothing changes domestically lol. Now with what UEFA and local FAs and competitions have said then it clearly is not going to happen but saying how outraged you are on twitter is not going to change the big business decisions in the world. Money talks its as simple as that.
Oh and the reason for this is all because these clubs want to say fuck you to UEFA not domestically i beleive.

Which would be the way to "Protest" this but it also is a fraction of the viewing base it would target as the Chinese and American market is where it would be pushed the most that is why JP Morgan is behind it.
However it will not go ahead now which is great as the domestic leagues saying you can't do it stops it. I do hope UEFA stop their silly ideas on the back of this, they want to add a third European competition to dilute the market even more.

I think the current system of competition is really good tbh, and I have no desire to really change anything around. Domestic leagues and CL+EL is great. Would like more equitable distribution of incomes and changes to economic models of teams, but I really like the overall system.
