Professional sports help keep a lot of people sane during lockdown, that is why elite sports are run right now, not because they are rich enough to afford tests, its because governments and everyone knows that watching football every weekend helps keep people sane during lockdowns when you are allowed out to work only.

What is happening here is daft, there is a reason why other authorities are letting people who are negative in testing fly in and out of countries. The Same way there is a tennis tournament about to go on in Australia featuring people around the world.

The idea is not the rich get to benefit, it is the idea that football keeps the worlds chin up as an English saying, no one in sport is going to be at that much of a risk to spreading these "variants" of Covid around when they are tested 24-7. Couple of Variants are the reason the German government are worried right now, but there is documented a good 4,000 different variants of Covid in play right now.

The large majority of people is not infected. Hell, even a large amount of those could easily prove that. And yet they are barred from travelling and subject to rather strict anti corona rules. And those travel bans have no special cases for professional sports...
And now we just ignore those rules for some, because the boys just wanna play footie. And footie is really the most important thing in the world.

Then again, somehow your lack of understanding is not surprising me...

And as mentioned before, a double header in Anfield is not really discussed atm. Swapping games with Liverpool (easiest solution, but most likely refused by Liverpool), rescheduling it by a few days (both teams will have scheduling issues here) or neutral venue (most likely option: Salzburg) are discussed.

PS: The "Red Bull" Club is in Salzburg. RB Leipzig is Rasenballsport Leipzig, not Red Bull.

you know rb leipzig is owned by red bull right? pandes point is the owner (red bull) isnt going to sit by and watch them lose cl money

Oh man that really sucks for Leipzig. Hope Liverpools is okay with switching places.

That is plain wrong, Leipzig is not owned by red bull. RB is sponsor.

Red Bull GmbH owns 99% of RB Leipzig
The 50+1 rule is in place, but since there are only 17 votes and all belong to Red Bull it's kinda moot. You can buy in the "Fan Club" for 1000 bucks and get a vote but it can be vetoed

Wasn't thie 50+1 rule and not being owned by RB not a requirement for Leipzip in the first place? This seems scammy if its true lol.

TBH, I don't know and understand the intricacies of how this works exactly. I guess Red Bull has damn good lawyers and found a way around

Ajax is really in a bad streak. First they forgot sign up their most expensive transfer for the Europe league and now their best keeper in a long time had been suspended for one year.

Why do you think rb Leipzig is hated so much?

Lost two talented strikers as well because they didn't extend their contracts. Has been a lot of bad news for us lately.

Watch the usa be a powerhouse in 5 years

Also Bednarak's red card, the second for Southampton against United, has been officially overturned. Arsenal also appealed David Luiz's red but failed

The club is technically not owned by RB, it's just that the members with voting rights are all employed by Red Bull.

50+1 just means that the club needs to own 50% plus 1 voting share of the company you can outsource your team into.

By dismantling a lower league team and then starting a new club in place and soft locking new memberships they basically circumvented the rules.

Liverpool's Champions League trip to RB Leipzig moved to Puskas Arena in Budapest

Interesting, hope Leipzig are happy with the outcome, they have a real chance due to Liverpool's form.
