The extra time xg is meaningless since England's jump in xg came fom the penalty and follow-up. Which also highlights a flaw of xg; England would have had a lower xg if Kane scored the penalty directly.

oh seriously, xg rises when you convert a penalty with the 2nd shot?! hahaha

Time to finish the job against a hopefully tiring Italian side from their last two games compared to England who look very fresh. You do realize football comes from China, right? Welp, I only hope that the whole Europe will stand behind Italy on sunday.
English fans acting is ... meh at least.

So Acrofales. No pressure on your choice for fantasy captain for the final

It was a very soft penalty, wasn’t particularly happy with it. In the same way the penalty was given against Croatia in the WC final felt wrong to me, even if perhaps technically correct according to the laws.
I think Italy are currently a better side than Spain, but I think they’re a better matchup for England going in the final. Can’t see it being anything other than a tight, nervy affair either way!

My finals prediction: Italy playing way better but fail to score. England gets another free penalty/ other stupid ref decision and win. English fans be like "we were better, we deserved it"
I wouldn't even be mad if England would truly display some good games.
I hope Brych is Ref for the finals. He hates diving and both side are pretty good divers

The video’s emergence this week has caused a huge controversy at Barcelona, not simply for the accusations that Dembele’s comments were racist (and that Griezmann was complicit with his laughter) but also because Barcelona’s biggest sponsor is Rakuten, the Japanese auction and retail giant.

Ah now I know why France lost. They missed their racist buddy Dembele.

I don't think the penalty was even technically correct. De VAR should've intervened imo.

Yes, modern football comes from England. Note the part MODERN football. The game itself has much bigger history than just codification of rules and the first professional league.
Edit> It is a competitive game that involves kicking a ball through an opening into a net. The use of hands is not allowed. I wonder about what game am I writing. (Cuju FYI)

Why not? I think Denmark was a special sympathy case these Euros but between England and Italy, it could swing either way.

In my experience Europeans support more Italy than England of France.

It's like when Flash was playing SC2, his fans were so annoying I couldn't support him on any level. Same with JD, those were even worse. IMO. When choosing between Italy and England I like the English style more. But support them means being an English fan, ewww.

Eh maybe this is true, because my perspective is biased, but going off these football threads people do seem to have a certain dislike for the English - whether this is just football related or not I don't know. It was present long before the Denmark game.

First and foremost I am a footi fan, meaning when England puts on a marvelous display in the finals I'm all for it. If they park the bus and get a lucky penalty, hell no. Italy has won enough in the last years so I am even leaning a bit towards the English side

Having said that they aren't a particularly exciting team, whereas Italy play fast football and have more quality in certain areas, so I do expect England to keep the game as slow as possible if they are the ones who manage to assert themselves. If the game is very fast and exciting we will probably lose, if its slow with alot of passing around then it could go either way.
