As far as I know, only a single vaccination shot is required for entrance, which doesn't help a lot against delta. On topic: 1-1 is nice, puts pressure on Spain.

VAR did check it, and deemed it not worthy to be overturned/reconsidered. On the bright side, is that the first really contentious referee decision all tournament? That would still be pretty amazing at least.

If they somehow get through on penalties it will be a miracle.

Rules should be different if the stakes are higher? VAR did check it, and deemed it not worthy to be overturned/reconsidered. Similarily I am angry when I heard "it was a foul but not worth a penalty" WTF? When I hear this I wanna kick that person in their no-touch area. Basically "if you hit a player above ankle height with the underside of the shoe, even if you play the ball and the hit is without direct intent, then this is considered as willfully accepting an opponents injury, and therefore red" On July 03 2021 02:26 gTank wrote: Only because corporates and UEFA make it a political thing doesnt mean it is, or do you strictly believe in what they say? I know the VAR did check it, by didn't do shit I mean doesn't overturn it, while it's (imo) clear this should never have been a red card. Do agree with your first point that the stakes of a game shouldn't matter at all, weird comment from the german tv dude.

He went with his shoe sole against his leg, that's a red card by the new standards. Don't know why people are surprised.
