So I was kinda sure this was the perfect playday for my fantasy team and the worst for my feelings... Now a happy end for both... I'm just so relieved...

I dont want to single out players, but especially Sane completely disappointed me. Maybe it is confirmation bias, but he was basically a dead end offensively. Not saying that the other starters were much better. Subs basically carried.

In the lower part the contenders would be England, Germany, Netherlands. Teams like Denmark have a golden opportunity here.

I also dont understand what people see in Sane, not great at Bayern Munich for that amount of money they paid for him.

Not saying that the other starters were much better. Subs basically carried. From all the starting players I considered Sane to be the only one who actually caused some action upfront. Yes, he was not always successful, but he was the one chasing Hungarians in their half, he was the one initiating dribbles etc... While everyone else was passing around the back, until after they went from side to side 5 times they tried some stupid chipball that was never reached by anyone...

Italy and Netherlands look like best two teams from what I've seen. Presumably both will get eliminated asap and in the end we'll have Portugal fluking their way to another title, finals against a Denmark who'll make an inspired yet futile run at it.

btw, when was the last time Portugal and Italy played in a tournament? I don't think I've seen that match-up.
