I don't see it happening, but the Tories could capitalize on the ire of the English football fans and force the owners to no longer be the sole controlling interest of the clubs. I think that there needs to be far less things like Sky charging ridiculous rates for PL matches to English citizens. There's too much money in football and maybe having it where fans own the club would help rein that in. Financial reform would just need to be enforced by UEFA (fat chance) otherwise clubs line Barca, PSG, Juventus, and Real Madrid breeze to a CL semifinals with their amount of money I have no idea if this is even a sensible idea The caps and stuff is fine but has to be applied on the whole Europe. Otherwise PL just shoots themselves into their knees while PSG laughs in Saudi money. And similarily to others. Like I honestly would love to see a salary budget cap and transfer budget cap as a start. Otherwise you cannot play the Europeans leagues. (but you can play domestically IF the domestic league doesn't have the same rule ![]()

So many English fans I've seen absolutely despise Sky for that and I agree with them When Perez made those comments about wanting to change the game because young people weren't watching, I saw hundreds of comments on Reddit echoing that we want to watch it but we have no money to pay for Sky. I'm extremely lucky that there's a sports channel here in the US that broadcasts most of the PL matches

Would like to see more of him turns out the ‘Romford Pele’ asks the hard questions! If you haven’t seen it try to find a clip of his FA Cup final goal on the feed Sky used to do where they had fans of the clubs commentating, to paraphrase ‘ball bounces back, oh it’s only Ray Parlour...’ Robbie and his crew can both simultaneously be hardcore fans and milk their selling point in an artificial way, like a game steamer who finds people enjoy their salt will ham it up. Their ire towards the board is (mostly) correct but they hounded Wenger out, they hounded Emery out, they’re moaning about Arteta incessantly. They shit on players constantly and complain they don’t care or lack passion, but slaughter Xhaka for a reaction to abuse that, other considerations of him as a player aside clearly showcased he does care. They complain of a lack of leadership in the side but absolutely slaughter David Luiz and Xhaka who, footballing issues aside, at club or national level by their peers and managers are noted for being good leaders and dressing room influences. Their passion for the game is only matched by their myopic ignorance on what they’re ranting about.

It's just so disappointing

As a general neurtal with a current fondness but a previously all-consuming passion for Inter Milan, I prefer my current state. I like my club, albeit I was horrified to hear the Saudis might be buying us, and in an individual match I tend to float my support based on a club who has principles or a style I like. So Leeds in any game outside of a game against Inter if it happens, or Atalanta in any game against non-Inter. It’s a strange phenomenon. I do most of my football watching in bars in normal times, like the atmosphere. It genuinely confuses me when people are mad and adamant for a foul that clearly isn’t one, or on all sorts of decisions

What's wrong with stating your opinion on a manager or player? They are just interviewing people and asking for an opinion, nothing wrong with that.
