My 5 cents: The Adelsons want to move the franchise to Vegas at any cost so they intentionally pissed off most of the fans with this travesty of a trade.
But tbf it made the Mavericks better equipped for a run this year if AD stays healthy. And he doesn't have to play the 5. Luka is fun to watch but the complaining and slacking on defense would drive me crazy as a teammate or coach.

He also wins games. They just were in the finals! Unless there is some sort of catastrophic career ending injury I don't see how this isn't one of the biggest fleecings in NBA history.
