And here I was hoping no club would ever fall into that trap again. Mourinho is a plague on the footballing world.

It could be another crash and burn storyline, but I think there's also a setup for nice redemption arc in there.

It's a different world than trying to steer a cynical giant like Real or Utd. It could be another crash and burn storyline, but I think there's also a setup for nice redemption arc in there. This is why this is so exciting. Because you're right it absolutely gives Mourinho a chance to prove himself. I think he's shit and the cards are pretty stacked against him too. Spurs need to be so careful it's so close to all falling apart there. So appointing such a controversial manager is just asking for trouble. But we will see. Likewise Poch has such a good reputation that he's going to find a big job very quickly be it Munchen or Manchester. I would go Munchen if I was him. He's gonna win the league there and have fun in Europe. Yanited is such a challange if he takes it he really will have to prove himself again.

Get a move to a big club. He performed well during some big games but he's not been the most professional guy either. I think the hate is justified :p I think he needs a reset, in England would be best for him.

5th position is up for grabs for practically anyone midtable right now, so that's definitely not out of the reach if he can get the team playing. Is that the realistic target? Also UCL and cups are probably still available too.

If he fulfills this contract, that would be the longest he ever stayed at a club... How to maximize your value when getting fired... And I really wonder, who pens those contracts on club side.

Maybe he wanted to leave last summer or next, and seeing things were not going so well they sacked him because might as well try to rebuild now. They could definitely have done that 10 days ago though haha. For Poch now, maybe the best is to wait a bit. ManU is too much of a mess... Bayern will need someone, maybe PSG or Madrid too, depending on results. These are better options for him and I'm sure those clubs would want him. Also Mourinho favorite??? What would Pande do if this happened? I am not happy, i mean we didn't get him or want him sacked as fans, we never wanted that, we were all aboard the "players are useless, they are downing tools" etc when he got sacked second time and first time it was just him and Roman clashing. Now when he went to Yanited we were not "that" bothered we were sad but that job is huge, its biggest in world football in English peoples eyes as they are the biggest club in world (to our eyes and have been at times in deloitte charts and what not) but then he kinda did a thing with Conte which pissed some of us off. However since his sacking at Yanited the Chelsea fans been happier with him again because on TV he did what he said he would do and that was defend Chelsea as the press critcism we receive is quite baffling at times...now...now he just joined our rivals, the one team our fans sing about hating EVERY GAME no matter if it is carebear cup or premier league vs Leicester. They have never been our rivals in terms of competing but they are straight up our biggest rivals. Now Mourinho rocks up there in which in reality the job isn't going to go well unless he has been promised a lot of money to spend which i highly doubt. 2 of the centre backs in Vertonghan and Alderweireld are both 30, Alderweireld has no contract and is free to leave in the summer and Vertonghan on top of this has had a massive falling out in the squad supposedly. So that needs to be addressed as they only have Sanchez left other than kids. Rose is another who has been angling to leave for the club it seems every summer with a public falling out with the manager last season. Their back up left back is Davies who isn't to bad though. Right back they have crazy Aurier and that is it with a kid as back up. Midfield Eriksen is a free transfer in the summer i believe as well? Dier is in awful form but maybe Mourinho will find use for him now, Wanyamma and Le Celso have not been playing at all which could help sold their defensive form but still lack CBs. Creativity wise when Eriksen goes they have nothing? Then the biggest thing, there are rumours Kane and Poch are very close, if Poch lands a big job which you assume he is getting the Bayern/Yanited/Real job they are probably going to be bidding the money to try and take Kane who will if they fail to win anything and miss out on European football? Or maybe champs league at least then he might just ask to leave himself on top of that. Then even if that isn't the case with this huge new stadium they just built can they afford to even reinvest in this squad? Has Mourinho even got money to work with unless he sells Kane for £120 million? Crazy times Also in his like first 3 games he plays Yanited and Chelsea lol. Read a funny comment that this Amazon series from Spurs is going to be freaking wild now with Mourinho haha

So this seems like the board is telling him he has to prove that he can win with the current lineup and not attempt a Chelsea, or Man Utd rescue plan etc where he buys/sells his way out of a hole. Spurs must make big repayments on their new stadium and, with Champions League revenues so important, Mourinho has been asked to regain a place among the Premier League’s top four. Before his first game at West Ham on Saturday lunchtime, the team lag 14th in the table, 11 points behind fourth-placed Manchester City. They have played 12 matches of the league season. Source

Source dont they kind of have to buy eventually? like how else are they going to replace the players they'll lose in the summer?
