While I feel that Gruden is a coach that doesn't really seem to care a lot about his players, how can you in a system where you have no control over the decisions made by the FO? Not developing relationships with players may actually be better in his situation so that he reduces the emotional stress of lack of control over his situation. I don't think hes an "elite" coach, but definitely in the 15th-25th best coaches in the league. His players played hard for him, and I've not seen many players come out against him. The players all knew he had no control.

That said, it is a damn shame. Dude was able to piece together ~.500 seasons with mediocre talent / Kirk Cousins, and looked poised last year until Alex Smith got destroyed. Washington has by far the worst FO in the NFL, or maybe all of sports (maybe behind Miami Marlins / NY Knicks), and it sucks that they didnt just fire him before the season.

Hope he find a job. Could see him replace Gase @ NYJ or Quinn @ ATL if shit continues to go south there. Otherwise, he may be a coordinator somewhere soon.

Has a game ever ended in a 0-0 tie? The Redskins vs Dolphins next week could be the closest we get to that happening since they are both incentivized to lose.

I could see the Niners off there bye pitching a shutout tonight after embarrassing themselves with 5 to's vs Steelers. Kitchens is going against Shanalanadingdong whose had the better part of two weeks to prepare, Browns 3000 miles away from home, browns o-line against SF's d-line...no bueno.

Not sure how this has any chance of going well for cleveland.

Based on their games week 1-4 I'm not sure I would call it the best defense in the league. But if they can keep up how they played vs. Kansas City, then it is plausible.
