I still think they're firmly in pretenders category, but I am excited to see the Niners in a meaningful MNF game again. There is a real chance they go into their Rams game undefeated. Jimmy G really needs to play a lot better though. I think the Browns offense is going to really validate if their D is actually better, or they just played trash teams.

Yeah, I really wanna see how witherspoon does against established WRs. Having an actual pass rush has been a godsend for that secondary, but I still have doubts. I would also really like to see the LBs vs some good TEs.

Verrett is also probably toast. he can still come back but may be on IR again. Dude reinjured his knee in the ten snaps he played in that Pitt game, where he got torched 2x in rapid succession. I really hope that gets addressed soon. Sherman still looks good but he's creeping up on his mid 30s fast. They really need to get better safeties.

honestly, I thought for sure Mariotta would go on to have a productive but not great career. He seemed like a mobile QB with a pretty good arm and head. He was a pure system guy
