For some reason, every player is underperforming for me. I don't know if it's the matchups or what, but this season is kind of...weird all around. I started Wilson and I had huge doubts. But Goddamn that man is elusive beyond the pocket. Also NOT afraid to rush. Also that throw to Lockett..

Drafted Thielen with my 2nd rounder, figured he'd have a 100/1200/6 floor. Also got a total of 1.8 pts from the TE position my first three weeks combined. I spite of all this, I'm in second place right now at 3-1.
Managed to pick up Rivers when someone dropped him after week 2 so that's decent enough. Still really need Cousins to get his shit together for Thielen though, where's the guy with 4200 yards and 30 tds from last year? If Doyle or Ebron are available in FA I’d grab either or (Doyle preferably). Hilton is not at 100% and it’s gonna be a shootout against KC. In more TE news: My league is hyping up a Watson from NE. No idea who he is but the TE climate in our league is rough so they’re all over him like white on underwear. It's a 12 team league, I highly doubt either of those guys are available. I know for a fact someone starts Ebron. I picked up Hockenson after week 1 and he's been basically a dud since and now he's hurt. I did grab Ben Watson this week, so as long as he stays healthy I think he's the pretty clear cut top TE on a great offensive team.
There's a guy with both Darren Waller and Austin Hooper who's been hitting up group text trying to trade one or the other. I'm just not willing to give up any of my top 3 RB or WR, and I doubt he'd let them go for any of my bench players.

I get the Vikings philosophy, play great defence, establish the run and take care of the ball.
But if the opposing defence doesn't respect the passing game then they can just take away the run and make the QB throw the ball. For the money they are giving Cousins he needs to be able to punish defences and win a game , not just manage it.
Wouldn't be surprised to see them let the offence play loose this week and take more deep shots. The Giant's won't be a big test, (kind of surprised they have managed two wins tbh) but if they can put up more passing yards and big plays it should quiet the critics for a week.

I agree. Giants’ secondary isn’t the best so Thielen and Diggs should have a field day. Then when they’re a couple possessions ahead they’ll feed Cook the ball 👨🏿🍳👨🏿🍳
Ofc I shouldn’t be quick to assume Cousins will manage that. Sigh....

I haven't really watched a lot of Vikings football but apparently the O-line is doing a bad job in pass protection.

football stats question here. it's based on CFB but maybe the lingo is the same for NFL?
I am doing some statistics stuff with CFB and I have collected a large amount of data on every division 1 team/player.
When going over the data for 2018 (the first year I am analyzing), I found a position listed as "OB". There are only two players on any team's roster with this position. The players are Gunner Britton and William West. It looks like they both played for western kentucky.
What is this abbreviation? Is it supposed to be Outside Linebacker? (I found no "OLB" positions in my data). Any idea why there are only two players listed with this position?
The reason I am asking is because they are outliers in my data that are useless in their current form and if I can relabel them with another position that actually is showing up in my data then it'd be helpful.

My guess is “Offensive Back” for teams that don’t designate half, full, or tail backs. It’s definitely a nonstandard basically unused designation though.
Edit: those two players show up as offensive linemen elsewhere on the internet, so I think OB is a mistake or something

Alright cool. Would the most reasonable position to relabel that as be "offensive lineman" ?
Also I have another nonstandard position label. "SB". Much more of them than "OB", though. Seems to be some sort of position involved in running plays. Any idea?

Yep, would def correct those to OL
SB is a slotback, which perform both running and receiving duties, along with some blocking here or there

Okay... got a harder one for you guys maybe. I really didn't want to have to ask about another so I googled the shit out of this but couldn't find anything. Also tried to google some type of official position reference but couldn't find one.
The position is "UT". There are 90 players with that position listed for 2018 college football. The types of stats that have been reported for them (with the number of times the given stat was reported is:
+ Show Spoiler + team 90 TacklesSolo 46 TacklesAst 46 TacklesLoss 46 TacklesSk 46 Def IntInt 46 Def IntYds 46 Def IntAvg 46 Def IntTD 46 Def IntPD 46 FumblesFR 46 FumblesYds 46 FumblesTD 46 FumblesFF 46 rushAtt 28 recRec 28 scrimPlays 28 rushYds 28 recYds 28 scrimYds 28 rushAvg 28 recAvg 28 scrimAvg 28 rushTD 28 recTD 28 scrimTD 28 Cmp 2 Att 2 Pct 2 Yds 2 Y/A 2
Is this some kind of special teams position? Any ideas on what I can use as an equivalent position?

Probably refers to a Utility Player, which is a mostly outdated term for players that, as you can likely guess, play multiple roles on both offense and defense. I’m not sure there’s an easy fit with regards to a more typical position designation.
