Have to disagree, Wentz is a legitimate franchise QB , A lot has been said about the injuries the eagles sustained this year so I won't harp on the point, but it's a credit to the staff and Wentz that the Eagles managed to reach the wild card stage. Legitimate franchise QB's are so hard to find that you don't trade them, Wentz is the long term future, he played all 16 games this season which will have helped his growth. In the seahawks game, he should have slid, the excitiement and the nerves from his first playoff game made him try to do too much. He will learn from it and come back smarter. Hopefully with a healthier roster. With regards to the tackle...I think the clowney hit looks like he targeted wentz's helmet but things always seem worse in slow motion and as an Eagles fan I can't tell if i'm being biased. I hope the eagles look to bolster the secondary this off season, Jenkins can't play for ever and we were lacking in coverage. I don't think adding an offensive weapon should be a priority, we have what we need when the players are healthy.

Lets say Eagles trade Wentz somewhere outside their division so they wont have to worry about paying him heaps and offload him to the Bengals. The Bengals are dumb and would gladly give away their +1 overall pick + Green. The Eagles would have gotten rid of a elite banged up QB and replaced him with a shiny new QB Joe Burrow that has the ability under Penderson to become just as elite as Wentz, while solving the Bengals QB problem. Or mabye the Eagles get rid of Wentz, sending him to the Redskins for their #2 overall pick + trent williams then the Eagles pick up a journey QB like Tannihill, Foles, or Brisset. Even old man McCown did a fine job under Penderson. Eagles could draft Chase Young, who has the ability to become more disruptive than nick bosa, that will chase Prescott, Wentz, and Jones around for the next 5 years. You dont want Chase Young hitting Wentz Philly. I coach like Rivera would love having Wentz because his playstyle is a lot like a young Cam Newton. Every body wins ![]()

Is Wentz not worth a the #1 or #2 overall pick + a player? Can Penderson win without an elite QB? Are the Philly fans loyal to Wentz? Its more likely than not.

I'm reading articles from local Philadelphia newspapers such as the Philly Inquirer, Philly Daily News, and listening to the Philly Voice radio program. The local consensus seems to indicate that fans are getting restless. Philly fans are one of the most influential bases in the entire league and can influence change within the front office via public pressure.

I have to tell you that you're misinterpreting what you're hearing. There is absolutely zero public sentiment that it is time to move on from Wentz. I'm in the area and I listen to the radio on a daily basis.

The local consensus seems to indicate that fans are getting restless. Philly fans are one of the most influential bases in the entire league and can influence change within the front office via public pressure. Fans are frustrated because of the bad injury luck, not because of Wentz' ability as a QB. Wentz has set them up for 3 straight playoff appearances, which is better than at least half the QBs in the league. You really think they would trade him away and take a flyer on someone like Jacoby Brissett? You're out of your mind. Also, your examples of CIN and WAS being trade candidates is off base as well - Cincinnati are 100% drafting Burrow and PHI would never trade Wentz in-division. Keep in mind that the Eagles won the SB two years ago. I have several die-hard Eagles fans as friends and they all say that they think that the next few years of limbo will be worth it for having won the whole thing. They also believe that Wentz had way more upside to keep than to trade him away and keep Foles. The Eagles have just had miserable injury luck, so you can't do a normal comparison between them and others because of the fact that their whole team was injured by the end of the year.
