First time someone have switched from inters directly to hards and I don't disagree with it. Going to be exciting to see if Lando can keep himself within those 20s all the way to the end

Calling it now. Piastri hanging around in this in-between situation is not going to work out for him

If Piastri have to pit, it means most of the other medium runners have to pit too. He get 2nd, worst case.

E: Norris locked up again. Maybe the hard tires are also suffering the same issues as the mediums

I really thought the hards would keep a lot longer. Simultaneously, that McLaren + Piastri combo really is able to keep the tyres perfectly. Looks bad for Norris

Edit: Imagine if he hadn't lost 4 seconds in that pit stop..or driven off track twice..

At least Norris is in a better headspace nowadays and he doesnt beat himself up. The gap is still manageable.

Btw what are Leclerc wearing with those ring like thingys on his fingers?

Ah.. we need rain during the race, not just 1 stint of inters while the track is drying. As Russell proved last year as well, Spa is surprisingly kind on the tires. I guess the tarmac is really forgiving because those fast corners should shred them.

Jesus, what a move by Oskar. He made that look easy. Shows how much tyre lives matter too, and how McLaren just absolutely tricked Leclerc with their "pit to pass" call. Leclerc is right to be pissed.

Interesting watching everyone's lines into T1. No one is doing the same lines. Leclerc hits the apex, Verstappen and Oskar misses it by about a meter, and Norris is another meter wider than that again - every single lap.

edit: Just for kicks, had a check with Alonso: He's even wider than Norris through there. Hamilton is closer to Verstappen/Oskar

Interested to see if that will even be investigated. F1 is weird with their disregard for moving under braking. Vaguely remember Sainz doing it like 20 times in a row in Monza a few years ago without a penalty. But that was incredibly blatant

Yeah they're in a league of their own atm. But it's still quite exciting to watch two drivers so close in talent battle it out weekend after weekend, ending up so close to each other in points. This has all the opportunities to really heat up towards the end of the season

Also, no further action between Max and Lewis. Lewis didn't even bother to show up to the hearing.
