edit: Wtf. Russell handed a second drive-through. Not that it matters in terms of points, but that's completely unwarranted and completely unprecedented. FIA just making rules up on the fly again
Wtf!? FIA please

Albon was hoding everyone so Sainz can do two pitstops and still remain in the points. He was obviously capable of faster pace with new tires. Beforehand Sainz was doing the same. Hence why we had people lapped twice.
Honestly, this 'race' shouldn't exist. It's only purpose is marketing, which is not really needed. Formula 1 is already globally recognized product.

Race of the year, I counted at least 7 best overtake candidates. Amazing stuff once again.
Also can the distribution of luck be a bit more on Fernando's side please? Let's give him the best car next year so he can get his well deserved 3rd championship next year, thanks.

I think everyone who's here for the racing agrees with that. Unfortunately, there's too much money in Monaco to ever get rid of it. F1 always follows the money. Racing is secondary.

Piastri crushing this year, really impressed by him.

Oscar is championship material for sure, great sense of humor as well. Not a fan of the McLaren dominance though, hopefully the papaya bois will fight each other hard at least.

McLaren is doing a good job. At least there are new regulations next year.
Albon and Lawson seem to be playing bumper car today.
The turn 1 run off is going to be nerfed. Drivers are faster going off taking the escape route
Kimi car broke down on Lap 56 causing a SC

Oof, hard tires for Max now. The disadvantage of the 3 stop they did.
E: Yep, Max should've stayed out I think. Wouldn't have been great either but he would've been in front at least. With just a few laps to go.

RB could not have dropped the ball more on that restart. Not pitting, and being first on 8 lap old tyres, would have been much much better

HULKENBERG!!!! Overtakes a Ferrari with a Sauber
Been a while since we saw Mad Max
Alonso on 10th!

10 sec penalty for Max - causing a collision

Spicy end of the race with Fernando finally in the points. We need more spice between the first 2 though..

My man had the drive of a lifetime only to barely scratch 1 point in P10

Lol, Max got "driver of the day".
|
He's very lucky he only got 2 points on his licence to be honest, 3 would have been a race ban
|
Max got 3 points added. He was on 8 previously and will have 2 points removed on June 30th so he have to be clean for Canada and Austria. Perfectly doable by him.
I do not know much of FIA commenting that they would not have taken action with the Russell overtake previously. Not really sure if it was required or not.

wonder if charles would have overtaken max for P3 if he stayed out during the SC assuming MCL retakes p1 and p2

Unlikely. 8 laps old softs, turned 14 by the end of the race. Wouldn't have been much of a problem. However, even if he had, it was still a much better shot than putting those hards on, which never had a chance to begin with. That was a proper disaster class act by red bull
