they have broken or will break the following records; most consecutive wins, the most wins, the most points, most goals, best goal difference. They might also break biggest point difference between #1 and #2, but that depends on united.

Best PL season of any team ever - unless they suddenly collapse and end up with only 2 points from 3 games vs huddersfield, brighton and southampton.

I don't know if it's just teams being focused elsewhere and all that, but United surely is putting up very good results at the end of the season. Would've been interesting to see them in UCL top 8 and it's interesting to see how they look next season.

Usually Mourinho seems to have burned out teams by the season 3, but it's looking pretty good right now.

United's season has been fine. not great, but yeah, fine. 4 wins in a row against other top 6 teams is impressive.

Their main issue is they seem to have a really poor 'worst' level. City consistently wins, even on bad days. Their only league defeats are against the teams that are #2 and #3. United on the other hand loses against WBA, Newcastle and Huddersfield. I think this is largely due to the different managerial approaches tbh - Mourinho pragmatic style of play is great against top teams, but he doesn't focus on developing the dominant play that allows you to virtually always defeat the inferior sides.

Which is why said teams have nothing to build on when he leaves. Its actually genius if you think about it. The only time messed up the formula was his recent stint at Chelsea really.
