Negredo's goal for Middlesbrough was a blantant foul after watching the replays. But when it happended live for the first time I couldn't tell you what excatly happened to be honest. Negredo came in at full speed and headers Stekelenburg's arm after he's already cleanly claimed the ball. The force of the Negredo's header into the side of Stekelenburg's arm makes the Everton keeper drop the ball and it trundles over the line. It seems so wrong to let such a blatant foul stand. But at the same time the ref doesn't get to see the replays and I had no idea what happended the first time around. So I guess he's in a tough situation. The balls in the back of the net and he can't be sure he saw a foul so he has to just let the goal stand.

I cant see City under Pepe dropping to many points. Also is it my imagination but the quality of the games has improved dramatically this season so far> Liverpool and City are playing some great attacking football

yeeeeah. I saw the replay of the medic checking him, looked like a clear concussion. I mean I'm not a medical expert but isn't the point of the finger in front of your face to keep track of it?

moyes really screwed us over by giving rooney his 5 yr contract. the occasional good showings of his is nowhere near enough to make up for his shit ones.
i really think rooney is the only reason our team is so lost and still plays lvg sideways passing

Well, he's lost his speed, touch, and finishing. He's still motivated and works hard but that's not really enough. The midfield is definitely the biggest problem right now. Fellaini has been good but Pogba + Rooney just doesn't work.

Yeah I agree Rooney can't cut it in attack anymore, he needs to be dropped to midfield or the bench but we know that's not going to happen.

Oh well at least it's still early, I'm sure things will improve soon.

He's pretty much a midfielder now and can pass decently but you need to be able to hold the ball to play deeper which he can't do. Schneiderlin should get some more chances after the Europa game.

United should have sold Rooney to a club from china last summer or this transfer window. Can't think of any other club who is willing to pay his wages.
