I personally find it to be a soft penalty to be honest. There was contact but Robert did go down quite easily.

Quite right. It's depressing to see the way modern football is going sometimes. edit: I made that post before I watched the highlights. To be honest Arsenal tried pretty hard untill the 50th minute where Koscielny been sent off and Munchen's 6th kind of put the tie to bed. It's not O.K to stop playing after you have clearly lost. But it's more understandable.

despite the 5-1 score i think arsenal played pretty well that game. obviously the retarded penalty call + red card destroyed arsenal's morale but leading up to that point arsenal was playing some good football and had 2-3 good chances which they should have buried.

If only there wasn't the red card, then arsenal would have gone on to win 1-0, and arsene would go the usual "we played well against the best team, created many chances, we were the better team today bla bla etc". I guess his commens after getting whooped is funny too

That's what's keeping Arsenal from winning anything over the past decade. They've always been playing well up to the point where something adverse happened and they all started to fall like dominoes. Championship winning teams need to win even when they're not playing well, that's what Arsenal has been missing.

Why are people blaming Wenger on this loss?
Arsenal had the right people, the right strategy for most of the time till the red card. He has 100% fault for the Liverpool game as he decided on the starting lineup but this game? It's all on the players.
