Enrique is done at the end of the season imo. He can't screw up CL spot, Copa Del Rey final is vs Alaves so why sack him now. Wenger, well, immobilism is quite a good definition of Arsenal these days.

Pretty sure Wenger is also gone at the end of the season.

ye. I'd be very surprised if Real doesn't advance also, but that's not only due to the scoreline, also because they are the better team.

Ahh you think both clubs will wait until after the season, guess thats ok and respectable. Not like a new manager coming in now can make either team progress in the champions league.
Now, why the hell do Arsenal players disappear and go to complete crap after going 2-1 behind in this game. Being 2-1 behind in the Allianz against Bayern is a perfect result to take back to the Emirates. However they just switched off and fully gave up. They could have been 6 behind in that 10 minute spell after the 2nd went in, it's quite incredible how the spine of Arsenal is literally a jelly fish!

Wenger is done after today, and not because you lose 5-1 to Bayern (because, thats quite a possibility to be honest) but did you see Arsenal ? no heart, no self esteem, no blood, no nothing, might as well not show.
You can lose 5-1 to Bayern, but seriously, that was pathetic, that was awful.
And thats a Wenger problem, i said a week or two ago, Arsenal is a team that rather risk the goal instead of getting a yellow in the mid. A team like that will never do anything remarkable.

The problem is getting someone who's a real progress mid season. Right now there is nobody available that you'd want to sign for like 2+ years. Except if you have a good inhouse solution.

Yeah but giving it to an assistant or whatever interim for rest of season is also possible and easy for both of those clubs. Arsenal could give it to assistant coach or bring someone in thats a big name just to lift them rest of season.
Barca could just give it to B team coach etc if they wanted too or as it Barca they could get people in quickly if they wanted as it a big draw.

I don't understand the surprise. This has been one half of Arsenal's football for the past decade (the other half is when they get momentum and are capable of crushing anyone). This is why Arsenal's players will always be "boys", not just because of their young age, but the way they put up a ...well i wanted to say a fight but not sure if that's even the right word ...

Arsenal would be so much better with someone like Simeone, he could bring that blood and passion that arsenal lacks

Close enough. Its no longer a prediction, its a fact/rule now. Probably can use it next season again if AW stays

Casemiro has improved so much this last 2-3 years. He is one of the most solid DM right now.

I think from a owner / manager position I can understand why Arsenal would want to keep Wenger: He is very consistent. Having no lows is more important than having spikes. Thats why I think Wenger will only leave if he does not want to stay after this season, not because he is denied.

None of those players are out and out DM's so thats not really a valid comparison.

The German newspaper "Die Zeit" wrote "Finally Arsenal are playing like Barcelona" in their recap of the matches. I laughed.
