Also been in good shape as of late - 6-1-0 last 7 matches in Ligue 1. And yeah, Barcelona sucked today, but PSG still had a stellar performance. ![]()

![]() Atlanta United has sold more than 40,000 tickets for its season-opening game against New York Red Bulls on March 5 at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Dodd Stadium. Club President Darren Eales said the team is on pace to sell out the stadium, which has a capacity of 55,000. “We are going to go for it and look to sell it out,” he said. The team sold more than 10,000 single-game tickets in seven days starting Feb. 2, when those ticket sales started. Those and sales of season-tickets spiked again following last week’s 4-0 win over Chattanooga. Eales said the team is past 27,000 season-tickets sold and approaching 30,000, which was going to be the soft cap. Eales said they will consider increasing that cap if demand persists. He said the MLS expansion franchise is selling more than 100 season tickets a day since Saturday. Source

Out of all teams in the top 5 leagues, they have the second highest goal scoring average (behind Monaco).. Prior to today, they were still looking like one of the best 4 teams in the world, and most pundits I saw make predictions for today stated that they considered Barcelona narrow favorites. Them losing 0-4 - and that scoreline is completely fair - is a pretty big shocker imo. Stats are never a good indicator, and sadly this time it applies to Barça. They have been underperforming for a while now. They were really really lucky in the Copa semi-final, they should have been out. They've been owned by a few teams like Bilbao, Real Sociedad, Celta Vigo, like never before. But they still managed to scrap wins/draws that preserve these stats. There's a big problem with intensity. Yesterday, they just didn't play at the pace needed for a Champions League game, especially against a team like that. I'm not certain about the reason, but a mix of exhaustion (so many games in January, and not against bad teams) and lack of hunger would make a lot of sense. The 4th goal was a joke, Meunier went from his defense to Barça's without anyone trying to stop him. I don't think Luis Enrique is guilty here, maybe fielding Andre Gomes wasn't the best choice, but 4-0 is never because of one player. He still hasn't renewed his contract, so I would guess this is over for him at Barça. Let's hope they can win la Liga! Without any other game in between, it should be doable (unless RM somehow receives the same lesson tomorrow :p).
