Awesome PPV, couldn't ask for much more (well besides Joanna winning so I don't hear that preaching). Fights were good and exciting, Bisping vs St. Pierre was great, I wonder if Woodley vs GSP is next on the menu. I think it makes the most sense, while Robbie Lawler/dos Anjos winner fights Colby Covington/Thompson. Don't know what you do with the other one who doesn't get the fight though.

That was so beatiful. Was getting worried for GSP as he was tiring out but so pumped when he pulled it off.

Dillashaw fight was pretty dam great too (didn't watch the Joanna fight but ya they all delivered).

edit: Dana says GSP vs Whittaker next (not shocking seeing as they were showing him all night). IDK that's a tough matchup for GSP

Jesus Christ Thug Rose upset. I never thought I'd see Joanna get Knocked out. I did not expect that. Also thought Cody would get the win as well. All three belts changing on one card.

Just insanity. Congratulations to GSP on the great win.

Woodley's fights are a mixed bag. his UFC 205, he won fight of the night. his 1 minute and 2 minute KOs are as exciting as any quick KO fight UFC holds.

Gate of $6.1 million and Dana said it did a lot more than 1 million PPV buys.

i'm serious.. its not 100% clear what "he super dangerous" means. u did clarify though. so that's good.

if Woodley fought through a torn labrum against Maia then i can't really say its Woodley's fault they had a boring fight. 2 reasons.
1) Maia was also unwilling to mix it up.
2) its hard to throw punches with a torn labrum. its hard to do any kind of throwing motion with a torn labrum.

if Woodley fights again soon he is probably exaggerating his shoulder injury and one can dismiss his rationale for his most recent style of fighting against Maia.
If Woodley is out over a year then he was probably telling the truth about having a torn labrum.

an overhand right is just the kind punch that can fuck up your shoulder.

If he has an Andrew Luck style torn labrum he may have trouble throwing KO power punches with that right arm the rest of his career. Woodley's career might be in peril right now.

time will tell.

Even when Woodley was getting shit after his Thompson II or Maia fight, he said in an interview something along the lines of:

A fans perspective of a fun fight is when they're standing there just alternating hitting each other in the head, that they are bloodied, look like they're on the verge of death, they keep alternating who is on the verge of getting knocked out until one does.

Then he said that as a fighter this doesn't make sense, you want to minimize damage, that's what a masterful display of MMA is.

So even from how he talks, it goes to show he doesn't care about what his fans think of his fights, he's in it to win, get a long win streak going, etc. I think GSP was much like that in his career, except more humble, but same thing, people only thought it was okay after he defended his belt numerous times. Maybe once Woodley has 6-8 title defenses, people will start looking at him differently. I personally would be a decent fan of him if it wasn't for him bringing up racism the way he does.
