I was not happy that Bayern decided for Pep over Klopp (hoeness had last word). Not true because 2006-2008 they were not very good. Im sure Klopp wouldve laid out a line of champions leagues on a platter to Bayern with his fantastic record of winning 0 Champions Leagues. The guy has coached for 5 years total. Hes not going to win everything all the time. That would actually be terrible. Klopp would have cost Bayern a fraction of what Pep has cost with probably the same return (three German championships). Yeah, so ? I'm not saying Pep has done anything brilliant at Bayern in terms of results im just saying its not always his fault. + Show Spoiler +The Madrid game was his fault though. He got done pretty hard there. Was a total tactical fail. But thats one game against the eventual champions. What can Guardiola do about this magical touch from Alaba ? https://streamable.com/p88cOr Moratta bodying an entire midfield and sucking in the defense ? https://streamable.com/hxk7 Buy real defenders? All Guardiola has done these three years is buying midfielders and forcing them to play CBs
Lol.. and your suggesting that its acceptable for those players to allow those situations, but "real defenders" no no they wouldnt let that happen ? What a joke.
"Hey Pep, your guys played a bad half. WHY U NO BUY DEFENDERS ?"

Everything was arranged, even contracts. The only one question was "which coach?" Hoeness didnt say why he decided for Pep, maybe he has/had too much respect about Klopp and Dortmund.

Bayern has never really had that impressive of a defensive line throughout the past few years. It just didn't matter, because they were too strong offensively.

Yes and thats fine. But "the buy better defenders" logic doesnt apply to what Alaba just did. Alaba has been an excellent player both defensively and offensively all his career that Ive seen him.

Haha amazing. What are the arsenal defense doing though? 6 vs 3 and he's still unmarked xD

Alaba just has a bad day. Kimmich on the other hand is just a weak spot today and he's basically just playing, because he had a few good games and no one to replace him on his position.

You haven't seen much of him as a CB. It's the same myth as Lahm. When people were thinking Lahm is a world class CM lol.

Yes when playing as a CB Alaba is incapable of handling a ball thrown over the shoulder because hes a bad CB. No other position requires you to appropriately deal with that situation. You know like.. Full back.
Also Lahm played an excellent CM, hes ridiculously cerebral. Hes just a better full back
