I think Schmelzer is incredibly underrated and I still don't get why he never gets a nod for the national team when we HAVE NO GOOD FULLBACKS AT ALL. I am a big fan of Schmelzer too but whenever he played for the national team he underperformed big :/ Didn't watch too many matches of the national team but whenever I did the midfield was fucking lazy. That takes away all his offensive ambitions and makes him more vulnerable defensively. Getting thrown into a completly random team every 8 months just to get insulted by the coach for that one game doesn't really help. There are so many players who are abysmal for the national team that get into the squad again and again without having too fear any bad word...
e: just read something cool in these times of transfer madness. I knew about our luck with left backs but Schmelzer directly followed Dede who was here and a starter since 1998. If he keeps his spot until 2021 we only had 2 starter lb's over the span of 23 years. I love it.

Wasn't Durm substituting for Schmelzer for a while?

Also the Leicester fans are awesome. Whether they are singing 'Are you watching Tottenham', 'We're gonna win the League' or ironically singing 'We are staying up' they always bring a smile to my face. Also "who the fuck is vardy?" from last game :D

Sure there were 1-2 seasons that he "only" played 2500 minutes but I'd count him as the starter when fit.

Hold that draw WBA! Cmon!

tottenham has been totally dominant, but it's 1-1 with 15 minutes left!
will be 7 point difference if tottenham doesn't score again..

Lol. All that talk about Chelsea "robbing" the title from the Spurs, and it won't even matter. The Spurs failing vs. WBA is quite the anti-climax
And yes, I know it's not over yet.

Yeah will mean if Leicester win vs yanited it's over, or they draw vs Yanited and Spurs have to beat Chelsea at Chelsea the following day to stay alive. I could see all possibilities happening in the games though. Yanited looking better lately.

craig dawson scores 2 goals but WBA draw
anyway, that's a good result for leicester. they just need to win 1 more

It seems unlikely this will ever get to Chelsea. Even if they lose to Man U (which I feel is quite likely, playing an away game with the form Man U is in), they have a chance to seal the deal in a home game the week after vs. Everton. And as you say, that's assuming Spurs don't drop points vs. Chelsea, which given Chelsea's current form, also seems unlikely.

well I thought it was definitely conceivable that leicester would only get 4 points out of matches vs united, chelsea and everton. and with the form tottenham has been in, it was equally conceivable that they would get 9 points vs chelsea, southampton and newcastle.
now though, leicester only has to beat everton at home- and I feel less confident in tottenham getting all 9 points as well. amazing day!!
*pretty amazing weekend of football for me. Rosenborg has two rivals this year in the norwegian league. Rosenborg won 4-0, two competing teams (Molde and Odd) lost 0-4 and 1-3. Cheering for Newcastle and Leicester in the PL - Newcastle went from being down 0-2 and about to lose the 10th away game in a row to getting a draw, Leicester won 4-0, tottenham drew.. 4 of these results were really unlikely.. Hooray!

That in the history of the world, Leicester has beaten Man U? Doesn't seem to be relevant to my current belief that Man U is on the role and will prove a tough cookie for Leicester. They have all the reason to still want to fight, and the recent form to do so. Playing at home makes them the slight favourite, imho.
|
United still have 4th to fight for and have been pretty strong at home this season so I'm expecting them to win. But I don't think it matters too much as Leicester will probably beat Everton at home.
|
3 points out of 3 games with Chelsea game still to go?
Leiceister surely must have this!
|
Also Alli is likely getting banned for 3 games for this, which will make Tottenham winning out harder.

man utd have the best home record in the league as far as im aware. 7 goals conceded or someshit? if we werent so shit away and didnt play such boring football we would easily be in the top 4. although the boring football thing has nothing to do with the points, i just hate watching it

However, Arsenal and City still play each other, so one of them is guaranteed to drop points. And Man City has a very busy schedule with the two CL games, and an away game vs. Southampton.
