We don't want to see any recurrence of this kind of thing It's so bad for the fans. There has to be no gain at all from doing this and heavy punishment. I could so see Mourinho copying this at some point he likes to cause a scene.
He did not abandon the game he interrupted it and threatend to abandon in case Schmidt would not follow his instructions and leave the bench.
After 10 minutes and a few talks (Zorc apparently said that BVB would not file a protest) the ref decided that the match can go on. I still expect a heavy punishment as too little a reaction could open the door for team members to basically force a time-out which can break one teams' flow and turn the tides.
Schmidt wanted a reason. Ref didnt gave him a reason and he called "go out" over 45 meter distance. I can lip reader, schmidt said to the 4th referee "ref should come to me with a reason for sent off".
And he doesn't have to give him a reason. Especially not after he talked to Schmidt in person during the first half who never calmed down. If he didn't behave like a disrespectful piece of shit for an hour and if his team wasn't already sieging him I'm pretty sure Zwayer would've told him. The way the whole situation was building up using Kießling as a captain to talk to Schmidt was more than fine. It's even the way the rulebook asks him to behave.
Rejecting the authorities orders and ordering him to you with a finger sign is not okay.
Yeah I cant believe how some people treat the ref. If I was ref in some of those situations I would be handing out yellows left and right. respect ma athawrataww

I also do not get why he doesn't do that either, any ref has the power to do this, just fucking do it.
i'd also change the rules as following: whenever some player touches the ground with something else then his feet SOMEONE has to get a red. either it was a foul -> sent of this guy or it wasnt -> sent of that guy "but i was just falling over my own feet, you cannot sent me off for that" -> smack, then red instead of 3 subs you get 3 strikes, so whenever someone from your team is sent off you can put another player in instead. after 30 mins it'd be 5v5 no touch football training how to play footie without falling underdogs would flood their fields against heavy favorites spectators would throw bananas on the field TLDR: thank god im not responsible for footie rulings

Haha yeah i think the TLDR sums this one up haha :D
So RM can't even win with yet another offside goal lol. If they got to play like shite and not win, they might as well sign Mou again. At least with that guy we had fun with his bs banter.
Also Chelsea doing good again now that the special one is far away?
Chelsea result yesterday didn't mean anything we were playing against City kids plus the world's worst keeper. Hell how that guy is a professional i don't know

I am starting to think referees get paid less for each yellow they give out -.-
We need harder punishments in general. Referees should deescalate and giving 2 yellow cards during the first 5 minutes might not be wanted but sometimes it's necessary. Just looking at Dortmund games this season we should've had 5-7 additional penalties called against us. But we had around the same amount of games that should've seen players of the opposing team sent off. Even in the first half. Referees are so afraid of the public backlash that they prefer to call nothing at all and say that "it wasn't clear enough" or "they wanted to calm the players down and let the match flow".
Tactical fouls are rarely punished the way they should be. There are 2-3 harsh fouls per game that aren't punished hoping that everybody is going to calm down. Violent conducts aren't punished enough. Diving is rarely punished. Touching the ref is never punished. Players run at the ref team and scream into their faces from a 20cm distance but when he blows the whistle and orders them by his side to discuss a specific matter they run away as if they didn't hear anything. Even stupid unimportant throw-in decisions create 20 seconds of screaming.
Atleast in PL we see 5-10 minutes of extra time to compensate all the discussions going on during the game. We need 1 year of super hard punishment and the introduction of 1 challenge per team per half similar to tennis. That one year will see every 2nd game end 8v8 but maybe the season afterwards football gets closer to become a sport again. Do you see all that shit in Handball, Basketball, Rugby or whatever? Nope. The ref is the authority and that's it. Adjust the amount of yellow cards so you need more until a player is banned for a game so you do not need a 35 player roster but please stop accepting all that arguing, all the brutality and the lack of respect in the name of a game that should in the best case never be interrupted by the ref. A foul deserves a punishment.

On the other hand, if yellow cards are given easier, players will be more scared to make fouls (both when they have one and when they don't) which makes the game faster and more exciting.
Actually I don't see your point at all. A foul is a foul, wether a yellow is given or not won't make it slower or faster So liberal yellows = faster game.
