Hopefully the final games will be better, this tournament seemed to have its most intense games early in the group stages.

He got hacked down everytime he got the ball. Its a team game after all. Tata is a garbage manager tbh. Totally clueless and super negative. Doesnt know how to manage the flow of a game at all. In a game where its all hustle and toughness you leave out Tevez and get on Higuain for Aguero. People like Pastore are useless in these kinds of games aswell he didnt identify where they were losing or didnt do anything about it if he did. To Chile's credit they played well above themselves. and that yeah, for some homophobic commentary.

Even then, he made some great plays earlier in the game and that pass towards the end of regular time could've been game ending.

Well huge disappointment for Argentinians and retractors I guess. Most people dont really care if Argentina wins or loses something at the international level. Still he has had his best chances to win something and it hasnt happened so that criticism will always be there. Messi will never ever be as good for Argentina as he is for Barca, I dont even understand how that can be an expectation. As for how good he would be on other teams. Speculative BS is kinda pointless you just rate what you have available and in that respect its pretty straightforward. How good would he be at Burnely ? Probably not as good duh...

I disagree because national competitions are not as important as they once were. Copa America means nothing, its as useless as that FIFA world club championship, for example. But yea on a personal opinion it makes me question more and more how great Messi is. Barça suits him perfectly and he suits Barça perfectly, but I question how impressive would he be playing for another club. It's a different player, playing in a different position and a lot less succesful. -edit- I'd have loved if Messi had won the WC in 2014 and being the best player, it would be fucking awesome and we Brazilians would probably stop praising Pele like an alien that can't be compared to other players.

No alot more people would care because neutrals enjoy watching him way more week in week out. A national tournament isnt high quality anyway so most people didnt even watch it here in north America or southern / east asia (the latter of which is more viewership than the rest of the world combined) CL finals all the bars are jam packed. Same for league games. Copa America half the country didnt even know it was today.
