Basically, Cavanni second yellow card is very questionable. I'm not sure but I think no matter what the player does to you, you can't react back with an aggresion and expect getting away with it. Probably in an ideal scenario Jara gets a red card and Cavanni a second yellow card. I might be wrong since I don't know the rules at that specific level. The match went mad when the second red card came, and the only relation it has with the first red card is that the first red card actually exists. You can argue that the foul commited against A. Sanchez is good enough for a direct red card. There is no double interpretation in that one: either by second yellow card or direct red card that guy had to leave the match.

So what is someone like Cavanni supposed to do? Complain to the official when he'll just say "Sorry, I didn't see it"? Or should he have just ignored it and allowed the guy to finger his butthole all game long? Stupid, stupid, stupid. Here's your solution, FIFA: Hire people to look at monitors and radio-in to the official whenever something "bad" happens. No need for drawn out stoppages like we see in Volleyball and Basketball. Just notify the official and have him say, "We caught you doing something nasty! You're banned from this game! And go wash your hand..." There.

I've rooted for Uruguay and their "ballness" in every game during their last 2 world cups. Suarez's hand and everything. I don't think you get to cry back when someone uses your tactics back against you. Uruguay's renowed president twitted something that read the lines off: "We've always done all the tricks in the book, Chile got us good this time. Head back with head tall guys" This is Chile's best football generation and a unique oportunity to finally win this. I'm fairly confident Chile will steam roll Bolivia or Peru unless something disastrous happens. I'm hoping for the toughest finals, against Argentina, and beating them head on just to make the victory more epic. Edit: I hugged Mauricio Isla in a night club 2 years ago. Best night ever.

The Chilean player reminded me of Marco Materazzi (one of the dirtiest players of all time) in trying to bait and goad a negative reaction from another player. It's natural Cavanni would get pissed off and react angrily. The Chilean guy gave Cavanni an unwanted anal probe. Any other self-respecting man would have done what Cavanni did if not worse. Not that you are wrong. But really all you ever do to contribute to our discussions is shit on football for not doing things in terms of policing the game that we all know they should be doing. Yes I pay attention. Its good that you care, but really always being an angry moralfag isnt really contributing. It got annoying so I called it out. Sorry. On a more relevant note. I am loving watching Chile play and the whole incident is part and parcel of South America. Its raw, its dogged, its street. Its wrong sure but I for one dont care enough to go up in arms about everything all the time. Its to exhausting and I already had my say on it so really cant give a shit to continue this. Would rather look forward to the next game. Everybody knows there should be punishment and Jarra will probably get whats coming to him like Neymar did. Outrage is good in these cases and even if the Chilean here is saying its wrong there isnt much to discuss. And lets not forget the relevance of Cavani getting a stupid yellow card in the first place for bodychecking the referees assistant. Many here would say that is red cardable offenses aswell. Point being no outfield player in that game except Valdivia (who probably couldnt tackle a little girl) played a clean game and thats just the nature of it. There are tons of pokes and prods and kick. Deal with it, if the people in charge want to change things it will be a generational shift as it has been in football since we have started seeing these changes so yes there will be issues, they will get caught, outrage - fix. They could be doing more, but since when have we had the highest expectations of the people running the game ?

Uruguay didn't do that and pretty much just sat back and slowly died, but I don't know much about futbol so this is just my two cents ha I'm sure people here understand the game better than myself.
