DRtg of 59.6 for the game. Sixers had an eFG% of 25.0 when he was on the court. He's a headcase but the reincarnation of Ben Wallace when he's on his game. these defensive numbers don't show up in the box score or fantasy leagues.

Ed Davis is nice, Lin is ok, Jordan Hill has played ok past 2 games, and Kobe is still Kobe except even less efficient than before (mostly because he's getting blatantly doubled every time because nobody else on the team can make a shot). Otherwise, total dog shit. At this point, I think the Lakers are better than: - Philly - Indiana Who can the Lakers reasonably beat: - Minnesota - Utah - Milwaukee - Detroit - Orlando I don't think they have a chance to beat any other team in the league, and I feel like their issues are so significant, they don't have any player, and Kobe can't do it anymore, where they'll be able to just win based on luck. Their defense is so bad there's no chance they can beat any other team in a 48 minute game. Just look at the game vs Warriors and Clippers... the Lakers can only play for 2.5 quarters before getting totally rolled. Who are the big guys in the draft this year? O_O

I mean they've only existed since 2008 and have produced: *KD (granted he would've succeeded wherever he went) *Westbrook *Harden *Ibaka *Jeff Green *Reggie Jackson *Steve Adams *Perry Jones *Jeremey Lamb (ok, he hasn't made it yet but this kid can play). Is there a better team in the league at building through youth?

He may have well just shot it from half-court on a couple of those heaves. Who is he supposed to give it to? The offense runs either through him or through Lin and Lin was fucking terrible tonight. We have no one else on the team that can create their own shot, and if the ball sticks in the hands of 3/5 players on the court it may as well just go straight into the Warriors' hands. Our defense is always going to be awful given the roster we have, but our offense right now is suffering immensely due to who is out with injuries.

The Lakers aren't going to get any better with him taking up this much usage to throw up contested turn around jumpers and circus shots (not to mention the 7 turnovers). It's just classic Kobe not trusting his teammates and then his fans blaming the supporting cast for not being worthy of the ball. The best Laker game so far was, unsurprisingly, vs the Clippers where Kobe took way less attempts and moved the ball. Dude it's a massive inconsistency issue with the spacing. We straight up DON'T have any. One of our top scorers in both games has been Jordan fucking Hill shooting from the elbow in back to back games. Unless we're going to be dishing to Wesley Johnson for a spot up 3 on the regular (hint: he doesn't make them) I can't see who else is a consistent asset to open up the floor so that Kobe or Lin can drive the ball. Seemingly everyone that we have that's healthy wants to operate closer to the basket, Kobe included.
