They are certainly capable but it is unlikely. The 48 mark might not be necessary this year, though. It's basically a scrum between Phoenix, New Orleans and OKC for that 8th seed and if all of them keep up this level of play none of them will reach 48 wins. Phoenix, which has the best record right now, would need rounding to get to their 47th win at their current rate.

The Waiters trade makes sense because they desperately need better role players that can play on both ends, and while Waiters isn't quite there yet I think that they need to take a risk to develop the team at this point, they start Andre fucking Roberson and the lack of talent beyond Westbook/Durant/Ibaka is killing the team. If I were a top 7 team in the West I would rest all my starters whenever we played Phoenix.

Showed up to the draft combine in flip flops. And even shit like doing nothing but jacking up half court shots during pre game warmups during his time in college. Ended up sliding all the way down to the 2nd round.

Passed over, partially due to attitude issues, comes out and starts lighting it up Interestingly (not) enough, I picked Miami for my second team in MyCareer hoping to play with Whiteside, but he wasn't there, already traded away probably... Had to get my 2K rating up alone :'(
