Nice set up for U21 England to win EUROs now! Quoting this for future use btw :D We going win everything, playing best offensive football we have in years, its joyful to watch. Just need to find a holding midfielder, a more offensive based Delph/Henderson midfielder. Then a new back 4 would be nice haha. But the basis is there, enough to hype me The basis was always there but you made fun of me when I had them winning the whole thing in our wc-bracket-thing!!!!! : P

To be fair alot of people didnt even see the game. I'm not personally interested in the COPA till the knockouts or maybe a bigger league game. Euro qualifiers way more interesting.

In defense there is also quite a few players with potential like Blackett, Stones or Chambers, but I cannot think of any good or potentially good english DM, the only ones that actually play for their clubs are Barry, Cattermole and Huddlestone.

Exactly, need a Loftus-Cheek player to burst onto the scene quickly lol. Like people say Carrick is a good holding midfield player but imo he is just an English version of Pirlo. Can pass a ball well but isn't going to win you any tackles or physically dominate someone like Matic. Thats what England need asap.
But yeah the offensive positions looking very good.
Hart Clyne Cahill Jones/Smalling Gibbs/Shaw Holding Mid Wilshere Hendo/Barkley Walcott/Welé Rooney Sterling
Is what i want to see game 1 in EUROs.

Yeah it is the ENGLISH version though like i add :') Take that how you want to read it but i see it as a not as good passer as him by any level but is our version.

in carrick's defence, his passing may not be xavi/pirlo/scholes level, but his defensive ability is quite good. id say better than all 3. hes old now so if he goes full on hell probably tire out quicker or get injured, but overall his positioning, tackling etc is very good. he doesnt take people down brute force style but he makes up for his age with intelligence so, as long as hes fit i dont see why england shouldnt use him. hes the middle ground between matic and a brilliant deep lying playmaker.

Yeah thats why i see him more of a Pirlo than a Matic. I don't see him making the good dominating tackles but i see him getting the ball back and recycling it well which is fine. Just wish we had a tougher stronger Makelele/Matic version but no worries, id rather have Carrick deep with Hendo/Wilshere + Barkley ahead, seems yummy to me.

Wales has gone from pot 6 in 2014 WC qualifiers to pot 1 in just 4 years. Also, what has Romania done recently? Since year 2000, they qualified to only one major tournament (Euro 2008), and now they are in pot 1. System is terribly flawed, and i hope it will be changed as soon as possible.
Also, friendly matches shouldn't affect FIFA ranking. In this system, you play friendly matches as some sort of qualifiers for qualifiers, so you dot get to experiment much (which is pretty much the whole point of a friendly match) and this also effects on how you choose your opponents for a friendly match. Not to mention possible foul plays in those games.
Some PL news: It looks like Liverpool has signed Mateo Kovačić today for a sum of 23 mil €.

Reasons are because the system is flawed but due to Romania have had a result run of 5Wins 2Draws in last 7 games, beating Denmark 2-0 in a friendly the biggest scalp i guess. Last defeat was 2-1 to Algeria before last summer's World Cup. They drew 0-0 vs Argentina too in the same pre world cup friendlies. Thats how they get the points.
Romania dubbed 12th best team in the world, Wales 22nd. England 14th Spain 10th etc xD Portugal still somehow a top 10 team in rankings which is always funny.

I watched the match and Messi was the best of the match. He was great. But the other players... Higuain is bad and fat, Tevez doesn't work with the national team, Di Maria is bad this year, the defense went full retard and Tata plays 4-2-4 in the second half...
It would be nice if Messi could be the Coach, Defense, Midfield and forward at the same time.

Another option would be trying to convince Coquelin to apply for English nationality as he is already 7 years at Arsenal and he is good Makelele type of player that is unlikely to get chances in French team with Kondogbia, Schneiderlin, Matuidi and Guilavogui around.

Out of all the groups only 2 groups are being led by favorites, 1 of those is England groups :D Spain Germany Italy Netherlands Belgium all not winning their groups currently, Russia Greece also group favorites currently not top of said groups.
I say HYPEEEE :D

Yeah, I think England has it this time around, Pande ;P. Just like every 2 years, haha. We destroyed the qualifiers in 2010 and then in 2012 too, but then got 0 points in the group. So I don't think it means much at all. Let's just hope all the favorites make it at least.

Note: My hype train will be so big you have to excuse me when it comes to England

The format of the Copa America makes it pretty hard to go out at the groups stage. Personally that makes the group games feel almost completely inconsequential.
