And then provided examples as to why the parameters you were offering were flawed. Maybe those players arent shit. But they didnt particularly show it. The French team that Zidane with has bonafide legends of the game. Its not even a comparison. The only person in their league is maybe Aguero. Also your sample set is god aweful as world cups tend to be. As Drone mentioned. I dont even see how world cups are a relevant factor when there is so much higher level football on consistent display. Apparently unless Messi is beating 5 players every 20 mins and making goal scoring chance after goal scoring chance and scoring a few he is having a quiet game. A victim of his own genius and expectation. An assist and the pass that spread the play is obviousy not enough contribution, attracting coverage from a minimum of two players per game is also ineffective. Quiet game indeed. Messi winning a world cup would secure GOAT simple. He has the players around him to do it. Is also stupid comment, he had a quiet final defending that is stupid and not worth typing. Everyone knows that, but who cares i dont. He carried Barca to copa del rey etc he is allowed to have quiet games, but when people say he played amazing and did x y and z when he clearly didn't do anything other than that pass to Neymar that game is blind. Attracting players to him is fine that did not affect the game though did it. Messi is great, Ronaldo is great. Fine lines are the GOAT to vs a great. Maradona was great then he won the world cup and became a GOAT simple. Plus the way Maradona fucked up that Real player in El Classico another reason why he is GOAT lol xD

Lets just take this point you keep making and remember that I pointed out that he practically made the second goal which you keep ignoring. And now I will present you with this. (Sorry no support for the blind) but maybe if you try opening your eyes it will be easier. Skip to minute 2 if you will please and listen closely to what Martin Tyler says at 2:12. I think his vision is pretty good. He'd be out of a job otherwise I reckon. + Show Spoiler + So Pande, it becomes very hard take it seriously, when you present a theory and then provide incorrect statements to pass them said theory of as a matter of fact like you are trying to do. Messi may well have had a quiet game, But then dont push the envelope and just ignore what other people say. Especially when you are ignoring what was effectively his contribution to the game winning goal. Now you can say well except for THAT he didnt do anything or the other thing. or the other thing. Like come on dude. Give it a rest.

Every list had Messi/Maradona as 1&2. Di Stefano was #3 on 3 of them, #8 on one of them, and not in the list on one of them. Well Messi had one where he was also only #9, but that one was from 2010, so it kinda makes sense. (and that was the list where Di Stefano wasn't even present, so whatever.) Like, I'm not disputing that you've met or talked to some argentinian who thought that Di Stefano was #1, but you're gonna have to present some evidence to make the claim that this is the general Argentinian opinion or whatever. Maradona himself did interview with Gary Linekar in World Cup in Brazil on Argentina talk show. He says Messi is 3rd most liked football in Argentina, 1st is Di Stefano, 2nd is Me 3rd is Messi. He loses out to people in sports personality award as well and even managers (former players) like Pochettino say Maradona was better than him to add fuel to my argument that he isn't as liked (the best/most) in Argentina. Ok sure lol he did 2 things that game. We all said in the thread at the time "lol wtf buffon" because of the way he palms it out into the danger area from a tame effort. But like i said he had a quiet game, had a run a shot on a counter and made a good pass to Neymar who controlled and played it inside to Iniesta who squares it to Rakitic.

He was 19. He was already a starter at MU and scoring 7 goals in 16 matches for the NT, but he was still 19. What was Messi doing at 19? Portugal lost one game against a parked bus. Unlucky. Watch the WC U20 and the Euro U21 and you'll see another Portuguese golden generation coming about.

I love how people thinks they could change what others believe. Messi lovers will continue to love Messi and CR7 lovers will continue to love CR7, no matter what happens. Just be glad you saw Messi, CR7, Zidane, etc... Who cares who is better. Ok you want my opinion, the best ? Beckham obviously, his wife is Victoria Adams, nuff said.

To be fair, Messi was pretty damn great at 19.. ;p third in ballon d'or in 2007, largely based on what he did as a 19 year old.

Not to mention that messi has won the olympic gold medal and the u21 WC. Obv the big one is missing but he's not as empty handed as the myth says.

Also how can u put that Portuguese line up in same sense as Argentina one. Ronaldo would cut his arm off to have Argentinian squad around him. But that isn't point i don't care for either Messi or Ronaldo. I don't have a GOAT i just have players i respect madly for what they have done and achieved and how they approached the game. Players like Zola Desailly LeBouf Lampard Beckham Shevchenko Banks Charlton Maradona Raul etcetc i can go on. But i do fascinate over one player i prefer team aspects to individual brilliance thats just me though.

Nevermind that though, it's bloody obvious you have hatred for messi since you bring retarded arguments up all the time.
